Stiles had laid his yearbook out in front of his dad, red marker circling over Matt's yearbook picture along with an arrow to highlight his name as tried to explain how Matt was the murderer.

"So, this kid's the real killer?" Sheriff Stilinski asked as he stared down at the yearbook - trying to process all the information Stiles and his friends were giving him. He kept staring at the picture and the longer he did, he couldn't wrap his head around the scrawny kid managing to murder this many people. It just didn't make sense to him.

"Yeah." Stiles nodded as Scott and Blair both stood with their arms crossed, waiting to see what the Sheriff would have to say - praying that he would believe the three of them even if it sounded like a bit of a stretch. The three of them were asking a lot of the Sheriff to blindly them with little evidence backing them up.

"No." The sheriff shook his head as Stiles clearly upset that his dad didn't believe him and wasn't even trying to believe them in the slightest. Blair closing her eyes that he already put down their theory within five seconds of the three of them talking to him. She still didn't understand why they couldn't just kidnap Matt like they had done with Jackson.

"Well, that went as well as I thought it would." Blair whispered to Scott since she remained the obvious pessimist of the three, carrying maybe even more pessimism in her genes than Stiles did which was quite the feat.

"Yes." Stiles corrected since that was not the answer he wanted his dad to give him.

"No." The Sheriff crossing his arms before Stiles got out of his seat trying to convince his dad to believe them. Blair closing her eyes when she started to realize who Stiles got his stubbornness from as his dad refused to shift his view on his position.

"Dad, come on. Everybody knows that the police look for ways to connect victims in a murder, okay? So, all you have to do is, like, look through their transcripts and figure out which class they all had in common." Stiles tried to persuade as he turned to Blair and Scott who both nodded their head in support.

"Yeah, except for the fact that the rave promoter, Kara, wasn't in Harris's class." Stiles's dad pointed out as Stiles got annoyed at his dad for not following him in his suspicions of Matt. He needed to think of something that would actually manage to change his mind.

"All right, okay, you're right, sorry. Then I guess they dropped the charges against him?" Stiles asked as his dad began shaking his head and holding up his finger at Stiles.

"No, you know what? They're not dropping the charges. But that doesn't prove anything. Scott, do you believe this?" Blair laughed at Stiles's dad's lack of trust in his son as Stiles threw his hand up in frustration that his dad was asking Scott instead of believing him knowing Scott was the more sensible one out of the two friends.

"It's really hard to explain how we know this, but you just gotta trust us. We know it's Matt." Scott pleaded to Mr. Stilinski, deciding to go with the technique that if they kept begging him that he would eventually become worn down and start believing what they were saying.
