You're Perfect

DANIEL'S POV

I had never done anything like that before. I'm never that bold. It was like I was a completely different person. If that's what being around her feels like, I don't regret it.

We eventually stop and take in the moment. I can't take my eyes off her. She's everything good in this world and so much more. I wish I could give her all that she deserves and all the happiness in the world. She's the only person who makes me feel this way. I've never cared about someone in such a short span of time. She's got me feeling some type of way that I've never felt before. I want to-

"Daniel?" she sits up, getting my attention.

"Yeah, what's up?"

"You didn't answer my question." she looks nervous, I'm confused.

"I'm sorry, y/n. I was lost in my thoughts. What is it?"

"Was it bad?" she asks quietly.

"What do you mean?"

"The kiss. We stopped, and you didn't say anything for like 5 minutes. I know it's a stupid question, but was it?" she breaks I contact, embarrassed. How could she possibly think that?

"No, y/n. It was perfect. I got lost in my thoughts. It really was perfect, I just got distracted. Believe me when I say, it really was perfect."

"Okay, I believe you. If you have anything you wanna talk about, you can come to me." She looks up to me with her adorable face, shining in the moonlight.

"Actually, there is something I want to tell you." I sit up and face her, putting her hands into mine. I look right into her beautiful eyes.

"I don't know I've made this any more obvious enough, but I really, really, really, really like you, y/n. You're the only person who's made me feel something different, it's new, and I'm totally here for it. You're the first thing I think about when I wake up, and the last thing I think about at night. I can't imagine what I'd do without you y/n y/l/n."

A big, warm smile is put on her face, and I can't help but smile as well. Tears form on her eyes, and I gently wipe them away for her. She's just too precious.

"Dani, that's so sweet of you to say. This whole weekend, everything, has been a dream. You're too good for me, you're literally the nicest person I've met. How did I get so lucky?" I can't help but smile at her adorable self.

"Actually, I'm not done." She laughs through her tears.

"What else could there possibly be Dani?"

"I know it's soon, and we can take it as slow as you want, but y/n y/m/n y/l/n, will you be my girlfriend?" A smile brighter than all the stars in sky fill her face, I'm in love.

"Of course, a million times, yes!" she gives me a big hug, and I squeeze her closer to me. Most of time I try to not be so dramatic, but today, is hands down, definitely the best day of my life.

"Thank you Daniel," she says, muffled, her head buried in my chest. She's always so polite, it's fricking adorable.

"For what?"

"For choosing me." I can feel both our hearts beating at the same time.

"How could I not choose you, y/n?"

We stay in the moment, watching the lights of LA, embracing each others presence. I won't ever forget this night, even if I tried.
