Butterfly

"Ate, wake up! You'll be late!"

"5 more minutes," sabi ko at nagtalukbong ng kumot.

"Ate, get up!"

"Get the fuck out of my room, Saffron," garalgal kong sabi. I don't even know if Saffron got that but I'm too sleepy to even care.

"Ate, a guy's downstairs waiting for you!" Napadilat naman ako at napabalikwas ng higa.

"What?!" I asked.

"A guy! The guy you were doing the nasty with few weeks ago!" she said, with matching hand gestures pa.

"What?!"

"Puro ka what dyan! Go take a bath you stink!" pang-aasar pa nito bago lumabas ng kwarto ko.

Tumayo na ako at nagmamadaling naligo. It was five minutes after that I went out of the bathroom. Record breaking time because I usually take twenty minutes to take a bath. But that's because I normally wake up early.

I had to finish a ton of school works last night and I slept at around 3 in the morning. Winter and I also finished the book report that we were supposed to do the other day when...

When they locked me in Phoenix' room and when we both opened up to each other.

I still couldn't believe that happened.

After he stopped crying., tinalikuran na niya ako at natulog. I did the same and tried to sleep as well but I couldn't. Not after we opened up about our past to each other. 

The next day, we were quite awkward. Napansin rin iyon ng mga kaibigan niya na doon rin pala nakitulog. Hindi ko nalang napansin ang pang-aasar. Charlotte was profusely apologizing to me and she looked like she was sincere, kaya mabilis ko lang rin siyang napatawad. 

Winter asked me if everything's alright. I just gave him a thumbs up. He also drove me home that morning.

It's the first I'll see Phoenix after that night. I don't know what to feel. Was he regretting that fact that he told me something so personal?

I just shook my head to get rid of unwanted thoughts.

I wore my uniform and got my bag and hurriedly went down the stairs.

I saw my parents at the dining table chatting with a guy. Nakatalikod ito sa akin ngunit kilalang kilala ko ito.

Siya lang naman ang kilala kong lalaking long haired.

"Safira, finally you're awake," my mom said. Napunta naman sa akin lahat ng atensyon. I just walked towards the table and sat on my usual place. It's 7:15. May klase ako ng 8 and it takes me 30 minutes to get to school because of traffic. However, my dad is here and he is not gonna let me out of the door without me eating breakfast.

I turned to look at the person beside me.

"Why are you here?" I asked and glared at him. Hindi siya nagparamdam ng ilang araw tapos ngayon ay pupunta siya dito sa bahay ko ng walang paalam?

"Don't be rude, young lady. He's here to fetch you," sabi ni mom. I looked at dad but he didn't say anything. He just continued eating as if there no other person around him.

"Why?" I asked while I got myself some bacon and rice for myself.

"Just because." I rolled my eyes and just ate. Mabilis rin naman akong natapos dahil nagmamadali na rin ako. After I finished eating, I stood up and kissed both my parents.
