The cold midnight breeze touched my bare arms and I almost shuddered.
The city is still alive even if it is already midnight. Cars were buzzing down below zooming past the beautiful scenery created by the night sky and the modern structures of buildings.
Napasandal ako sa aking inuupuan.
I heaved out a deep sigh.
I lasted years in this place. I tried so hard to love it, to fall in love with the beautiful landscape and city in front of me. To feel like I truly belong here. To feel at home.
To not feel the need to run back to the warmth.
"Why are you here? Aren't you cold?" narinig kong sabi ng taong nasa likod ko.
Hindi ko siya hinarap. I just shrugged.
"I don't mind. I'm used to the cold."
