"How have you been?" I chuckled at the question.

"Ask me questions I can answer," I responded. I took a hit of my cigarette and puffed out the smoke. Oliver did the same with his.

"Dude, hindi ka na raw nagpapakita kay Connor. He misses you," he said in his infamous nonchalant voice. Napatawa nalang ako.

"Send him my regards, I heard he just got engaged or something," sabi ko at nagkibit balikat. I leaned unto my car even more and stared at the sky which is currently sporting fiery colors as the sun readied itself to set.

It's already 5PM in the afternoon and I am just about to go home from my on-the-job training when this dickhead showed up right as I was leaving.

"Gago, he's already married," sabi nito na ikinakunot ng noo ko.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"How is that idiot married before me?" Oliver just laughed at my remark.

"Apparently, he's got more pussy action than you," he said. I jabbed him in the chest jokingly.

"Same can be said about you, idiot," I rebutted.

"Seriously though, when the fuck did that moron start getting laid?" di makapaniwalang tanong ko habang natatawa.

"Arranged marriage. Traditional Chinese thing. I'm not sure if it's true though. Narinig ko lang kay Lucas," he shrugged.

"You're a gossip-monger now? Natututo ka lang magsalita," Pang-aasar ko. He just scoffed and took a hit of his stick.

"Anyway, what do you have for me?" I asked.

"This," he said, then handed me a dainty envelope. It was light blue and scented. I almost didn't want to touch it.

"The fuck is that?" I asked. Then a thought disgusted because of the thought forming in my head.

"Want me to read it for you?" he asked, mockingly.

"You are cordially invited to the union of Safira Vi-" I didn't let him finish. I snatched the paper from him and read it myself. Itinaas niya ang kamay niya na nagkukunyaring sumusuko sa isang giyera. He even smirked at me.

"Look what I have," he said then pulled out another one of the same envelop from the pocket of his coat. He handed it to me and I almost threw it out immediately.

I scoffed bitterly.

"Sineryoso niya iyon?" mahinang tanong ko sa sarili ko. I was reminded of that night when I asked her to invite me to the damned wedding.
