Double Date

I have been a huge bitch.

Gusto kong sampalin ang sarili ko dahil sa inasta ko kanina. I grabbed my pillow, pushed it on to my face and screamed.

I acted like a jealous girlfriend! A fucking bitch!

I screamed unto the pillow once again.

Nagpaulit-ulit sa aking isipan ang pag-aaway namin ni Phoenix.

What is happening to me?!

Ngayon lang ulit ako nagalit ng ganoon.

I have always known that Phoenix brought out the worst in me but I have always been composed and calm. But something just flicked my bitch switch.

Napahilamos ako sa mukha ko. I just stared at the ceiling and let the thoughts fill up my mind.

I was being unreasonable.

Ano ngayon kung hindi siya nagrereply?

Ano ngayon kung hindi niya ako pinapansin?

Wala naman akong karapatan!

I sighed.

I shouldn't have shouted at him like that.

I don't even have the right to.

I closed my eyes and just tried to sleep it off.

Ngunit ilang oras na ay hindi pa rin ako makatulog. I kept twisting and turning on my bed hoping to fall asleep. Napahilamos ako sa mukha ko at napabangon. I reached for my phone on the bedside table.

I checked the time and it was already 2AM. I still have classes later today.

I heaved out a sigh. I really don't wanna go to school today, but I don't have any excuse not to.

Ibinalik ko nalang ang phone ko sa bedside table. I was about to try and sleep again when my phone rang. Napabalikwas naman ako. I grabbed my phone and rubbed my eyes to see clearly.

Nanlaki naman ang mga mata ko nang makita kung sino ang tumatawag. I sat up a quickly and clutched my phone with both hands.

Ring lang ito ng ring.

I contemplated on whether I wanna answer it but it stopped ringing. I breathed out a sigh I have been holding in.

Ibababa ko na sana ang phone ko sa bedside table ngunit bigla na naman itong nagring.

The same caller from earlier called me again.

I closed my eyes and slowly counted to ten.

Kapag nakaabot ako ng sampu at nagriring pa rin ito ay sasagutin ko.

Just as I was about to hit the tenth mark, my phone stopped ringing.

I opened my eyes and held my phone expecting for it to ring again but it didn't.

I sighed and just placed my phone on the bedside table.

I laid down and covered myself with the blanket. I closed my eyes and finally, I dozed off to sleep.
