Impulse

I splashed water unto my face and stared at my reflection in the mirror.

Shit, shit, shit!

That was not supposed to happen!

I'm sure that was just nothing for him. It was probably just a passing moment for him. Kissing me like that out of the blue meant nothing to him!

He was a man and he has... needs.

I felt my heart twist at the thought of him using me for his urges.

God! Why am I even feeling this way! We were both adults! It's normal. We didn't even get further than making out!

I closed my eyes in frustration and slapped my face.

"It was just a kiss. Get over it," matigas kong paalala sa aking sarili.

Matapos kong pangaralan ang sarili ko ay nagbihis na ako. Isinuot ko ang pantalon na suot ko pagpunta dito. Kumuha na rin ako isang putting t-shirt sa closet ni Phoenix at hindi na nagpaalam dahil sabi niya naman ay pwede kong hiramin ang damit niya. Malaki ito ngunit ayos lang dahil pwede naman itong ituck in.

After what happened at the beach, I excused myself, got my things, immediately went inside the house. Dumiretso ako sa kwarto niya at kumuha doon ng t-shirt na maaari kong isuot pati na rin ang pantalon kong naiwan ko sa bedside table niya and went to the bathroom.

I sighed and looked at my reflection one last time.

Lumabas na ako ng bathroom at napahinga ng maluwag nang makitang wala doon si Phoenix.

Bumaba na ako. Wala akong ekspresyon nang madaanan ko si Phoenix na kumakain ng saging at nakasandal sa pader sa may dining area. I got my bag and shoved my shirt in there.

It's already quarter to six at pagabi na rin.

Gusto ko na ring umuwi. I don't think I can stay here any longer. Phoenix's presence suffocates me. He makes me feel things I don't want to feel.

"I should drive you home," sabi niya. I just nodded.

"I'll just change," dagdag niya at pumunta na sa kwarto niya upang magbihis.

Walang sali-salita ay lumabas na siya at tumungo sa kung saan nakapark and sasakyan niya.

Sumunod naman ako. We went in and he started to drive without saying anything. He placed one hand on the steering wheel and the other was leaning by the door as he played with his lips. He seemed to be in deep thought but was still focused on the road.

Nag-iwas ako ng tingin nang umamba siyang titingin rin sa akin. Instead, I focused on the scenery outside. The sun was setting and it was beautiful. Maganda siguro kung nagstay muna kami ng saglit upang masilayan ang sunset by the beach.

Nanatili akong nakatingin sa labas nang magsalita si Phoenix.

"Do you want to eat something?" he asked.

Now that he asked, I felt hungry.

I just nodded and didn't say anything else. Nagdrive thru naman siya sa isang fastfood chain.

Umorder siya ng burger at coke while spaghetti with fries and coke naman ang akin.

When the food arrived, binuksan ko agad ang paper packaging upang makakain na. I'm always starving!
