You alarm went off and you got up to get ready for another day of school. You did your usual routine then got dressed into some mom jeans and a plain black crop top.
You walked around your room grabbing your last bits to pack your with anything that you needed for the day.
You walked out of your room and down to the kitchen so you could get your breakfast and pack your lunch. You parent were already out for work and dropped your younger brother to preschool. You were always home alone in the morning.
You packed your everyday lunch and just grabbed a cereal bar as you weren't really one for breakfast.
Just as you were ready you heard a knock on your door and that would be your friends Lucy. She lived just down the street and you would walk to school together everyday.
You grabbed your bag and got to your door and opened it to see it was actually a beauty day outside and Lucy's smile was brighter than ever.
'You ready' she said as you started walking out of the door and locking it behind you, you nodded your head.
'Did you finish that project due for today' you asked as you both started making your way to school the usual way you would everyday.
'Yeah, did loads last night it took me ages to do though. Did you finish it' she asked. 'Yeah I finished it, unlike you I didn't do it all last night though' you said as you both laughed together.
You carried on a normal conversation as you made your way to school.
You got to the gates and everyone was walking in and you two just kept your heads down as you walked in.
You and Lucy have been friends for as long as you could remember and you two just never wanted to make friends. There are girls around you talk to but, they are so bitchy. They bitch to you two then go off with the girl they were bitching about! It never made sense to you at all.
You both made your way to your lockers so you could get your books you needed for the day. Finally getting through the corridor past all the people in the way, you reached your locker.
You put in your combination as you started getting out what you needed.
'Looking good today y/n' you heard someone say as they then leant on the locker beside you and you knew exactly who it was. Peter Parker.
He would always come and speak to you in the morning and try to flirt with you but it would never work. Any girl who goes with a jock it has the same result, their heart being broke and I was not taking that chance, especially not to the hottest jock in school everyone wants.
'What do you want peter' you said as you shut your locker and put your bag on your shoulder. 'Just letting your know how beautiful you look today' he said looking you up and down. As much as you loved it, you had to show no interest. You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms.
'Is that it can you leave now' you said raising your eyebrows and looking to the side signalling him to just walk away.
'Why don't you go' he said nodding his head up and you then again rolled your eyes. 'Oh yeah it's because you can't resist me' he said as he winked. 'Bye peter' you said starting to walk away with Lucy.
You two started walking to first period and everyone was looking at you. People always looked at you because peter was so fixed on you and well, they all wanted that.
This has been going on for a couple of months now but you knew there was other girls. People have been saying around he is changing and isn't talking or getting with other girls, but you did not believe that. Why would the hottest boy in the school who has the choice of every girl in the world choose you, the shy one with one friend. Yeah it wouldn't happen.
'Hey girls' you heard from behind you and it was a girl called sally. She was a nice girl you would admit but was just an in school friend, she had another group of friends but she was still lovely to you and Lucy.
'You know everyone is talking about you and peter' she said as she came between you and Lucy. You stomach filled with butterflies as she said that. 'Well what are they saying, I mean it probably isn't true' you said back.
'Even the boys have been saying he actually like you and wants you to give him a chance. They described it as him going soft for you' before she would carry on you interrupted. 'There is no way in a million years peter Parker would go soft for me I do not believe that for a second' you said as you were now waiting outside the classroom.
'Y/n seriously this could be your chance to finally get a boyfriend like you have always wanted' Lucy said with a cheeky smile on her face. 'Well not peter I don't want to get my heart broke, I can't' you said looking down. Yes you wanted it, but hearing that from someone did not get your hopes up. You needed to hear it from him.
You all got let into your class and you sat in your usual spot at the back near the window next to Lucy like you always would.
Sat around you two was the jocks and they would always be messing around and you two would be in the middle of it, but now you just choose to ignore it all.
'Yo y/n' you heard josh say who was sat infront of you. You would usually ignore them but today, you felt like you wanted to hear what he has to say.
'What' you replied just looking dead at him and he smiled at you. 'You heard about Parker' he said and you had to smile again at that. 'No what is it' you said, but you did know what it was as you got told earlier, but you wanted to say what one of his friends had to say because surely they wouldn't lie about it.
'He is falling for you' he said smiling. You kind of looked at him for a second to try and read if he was telling the truth, or joking. 'He doesn't even know me' you said rolling your eyes and looking back at your work. 'Just give him a chance' he said and you just didn't reply.
You just kept your head down for the rest of the class and the rest of the day as you were thinking about what to do.
This could all be a lie and people want to see you get hurt and be made a fool off. You could give your all to him and he could just leave you heart broken.
Or this could work out exactly like you want it to, being with the boy you have a crush on with no problem.
But he is going to have to work hard for you. Very hard.
