Being the 'it' girl in high school is something every girl wants. They may think they don't want to be but deep down, they do.
You were that girl who made the effort every day no matter what. The makeup was always on and you outfits were always perfect.
Your friends sucked up to you but in all honesty they were all fake. You had two close friends, Kaci and Caroline. But every other girl in this school wanted to be your best friend too, it was the pay to popularity, you basically run it.
But you weren't like the usual IT girl. You had good grades and stayed on top of your work, the it girls were usually classed as the baddie girl but you had never in your life had alcohol or smoked unlike all your other friends have. You would make the effort of going to parties but going off with boys was a no. Every girl in this school along with everyone else thinks you have done everything sexual in the books but you have only ever had your first kiss.
You weren't one for chasing the jocks around, all your friends had a jock but it was just a friends with benefits type thing but they all drooled over you, all the boys wanted you but there was only one boy you really did want.
You had no idea how you were the it girl when realistically you were just like everyone else. And you hated being the girl everyone else wanted to be.
Another day came in and you walked through those door and all eyes were on you. People would be thinking 'wonder what she will wear today' or something like 'her makeup looks good today'.
As always you put the act on and strutted though those halls like you were walking down the catwalk and you wiped your hair around as you looked at everyone around you.
Eventually you reached you friends and hugged them all.
'mini skirt today, I like it' your friend Kaci said as she touched your skirt and bit her lip as she looked back up to you.
'And look at you breaking the dress code again babes' you said back to her as you opened your locker. Everyday you would all break the dress code and it's now got to the point when the teachers don't even do anything about it.
'Well would it be me if I wasn't' she smiled as she took her lip gloss out of her bag and looked around.
'Y/n oh my god...it's Peter he's looking at you' Kaci said as you looked at her then turned around but as soon as you did he turned away.
The smile that was on your face instantly got swept away.
'Come on don't worry about it, you have a locker room full of boys waiting for you' she said as she shut your locker and gave a fake smile.
But you wanted Peter.
'Where is Caroline anyway' you asked as you picked up you back and put it on your shoulder and tired to change the subject.
'She said she is running late, she couldn't fine the shoes she wanted to wear' Kaci smiled as she then put her lipgloss in her bag and held her arm out signalling for you to link arms with her.
You smiled and as you usually would you linked arms and again walked that hall way like it was a runway.
Making your way to your first lesson which was maths and was secretly your favourite you both kept a conversation going.
