Chapter 11 part 2
Once I was all ready, I headed out to greet our guest. I welcomed everyone with a warm smile and handshake. As usual everyone dressed their best and chatted amongst each other as they waited for their meal.
As I headed over to the back curtains, my phone began to ring.
"Hey, where-"
"Come to the underground passage way. I'll meet you there." he quickly said and immediately hung up.
Why the hell can't he just go through the main doors? This is his restaurant.
I told the servants to keep the guest happy and offer them drinks. As I was marching off, I accidentally bumped into someone.
"Oh, Madam A, please excuse me."
"Not a problem, Lady Raven. I'm guessing that tonights dinner is very important." she laughed.
"Why do you say that?" I was curious to hear her explanation, but then again I didn't have the tolerance or patience to listen to her babble.
"Mr. MM has all his most valued guests and there are twice as much people here today. Tonight must really be something exciting." She said merrily and giggled non stop, probably from the drinks that she had.
"He hasn't told me anything yet." I tried my best to remain calm. "I'm not really sure what is going on here."
"It's funny though!" She sang.
"Um...what is so funny, if I may ask?" Thankfully I was wearing my black gloves, or else she would've seen my snow white knuckles, itching to hit her.
"As his closest acquaintance, I thought that you'd have all the secrets and gossip to his works. You two have been partners for a year or so, but you still know little to nothing about his business." Her eyes were taunting me. I glared back at her, trying to hold back my rage.
"If there's one thing I learned about him, it's that he never fails to surprise me. Hopefully it will live up our expectations."
"I hope so too. Anyways, I must get back to my suitors." she said as she began to walk away. "Good bye Lady Raven and send Mr. MM my regards!"
"Will do." I rolled my eyes and let out a long, exasperated sigh. I continued down to the basement, trying to forget her words.
In our basement there was some kind of secret passageway. My guess is that it's an emergency escape route, which hasn't been used for years. I turned one of the small lamps and entered into the dark.
I opened the door and swatted away all the spider webs in my way. I walked for a good five minutes, wondering how long was this tunnel. At the next turn, I saw shadows on the wall growing smaller.
I leaned against the edge of the wall and had one blade of my kagune out ready, just in case it wasn't them. When they turned the corner, both men gasped when they saw me.
"Shit, don't sneak up on us like that." Tsukiyama sighed in relief. "Well, it's good see that you're willing to fight for the safety of the restaurant."
"Actually, I was doing this for my own safety." I looked over to the other figure standing by him and flicked off his hood. "It's nice to see you again, Kaneki."
"It's great to see you too. Maybe next time, you could warn us before you try attack us." he flashed his warm smile.
"Well, then" I held my blade up against Tsukiyama's throat. Kaneki, confused and shocked, quickly backed away. "Are you going to tell me what the hell is going on here? Or am I going to have to force it out of you?"
