Alex: After the war I went back to New York.
Scarlet: A-After the war I went back to New York.
Alex: I finished up my studies and I practiced law.
Scarlet: I practiced law, Burr worked next door.
Alex: Even though we started at the very same time, Scarlet Hamilton began to climb. How to account for her rise to the top? Maaaaan, the girl is Non-stop!
Everyone: Non-stop!
Scarlet: Gentlemen of the jury, I'm curious, bear with me. Are you aware that we're making hist'ry? This is the first murder trial of our brand-new nation. The liberty behind deliberation-
Everyone: Non-stop!
Scarlet: I intend to prove without a shadow of a doubt with my assistant counsel-
Alex: Co-counsel. Hamilton, sit down. Our client Levi Weeks is innocent. Call your first witness. That's all you had to say!
Scarlet: Okay! One more thing-
Alex: Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room? Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room? Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room? Soon that attitude may be your doom!
Everyone: Awwww!
Everyone: Why do you write like you're running out of time?
Alex: Write day and night like you're running out of time?
Everyone: Ev'ry day you fight like you're running out of time.
Alex: Keep on fighting. In the meantime- Non-stop!
Everyone: Non-stop!
Scarlet: Corruption's such an old song that we can sing along in harmony. And nowhere is it stronger than in Albany. This colony's economy's increasingly stalling and honestly, that's why public service seems to be calling me.
Everyone: He's just Non-stop
Scarlet: I practiced the law, I practic'ly perfected it. I've seen injustice in the world and I've corrected it. Now for a strong central democracy. If not, then I'll be Soccrates throwing verbal rocks at these mediocrities.
Alex: Hamilton, at the Constitutional Convention:
Scarlet: I was chosen for the Constitutional Convention!
Alex: There as a New York junior delegate:
Scarlet: Now what I'm gonna say may sound indelicate.
Almost Everyone: Awww!
Alex: Goes and proposes his own form of government!
Everyone: What!
Alex: His own plan for a new form of government!
Everyone: What!
Alex: Talks for six hours! The convention is listless!
Jacob: Bright young girl...
Taylor: Yo, who the f is this?
Alex: Why do you always say what you believe?
Everyone: Why do you always say what you believe?
Alex: Ev'ry proclamation guarantees free ammunition for your enemies!
Everyone: Awww!
AE: Why do you write like it's going out of style?
Jack & Mystery: Going out of style, hey!
AE: Write day and night like it's going out of style?
Jack & Mystery: Going out of style, hey!
Everyone: Evry day you fight like it's going out of style. Do what you do.
Alex: Scarlet?
Scarlet: Alex Burr, sir.
Alex: But it's the middle of the night.
Scarlet: Can we confer, sir?
Alex: Is this a legal matter?
Scarlet: Yes, and it's important to me.
Alex: What do you need?
Scarlet: Burr, you're a better lawyer than me.
Alex: Okay.
Scarlet: I know I talk too much, I'm abrasive. You're incredible in court. You're succinct, persuasive. My client needs a strong defense. You're the solution.
Alex: Who's your client?
Scarlet: The new U.S. Constitution?
Alex: No.
Scarlet: Hear me out.
Alex: No way!
Scarlet: A series of essays, anonymously published defending the document to the public.
Alex: No one will read it.
Scarlet: I disagree.
Alex: And if it fails?
Scarlet: Burr, that's why we need it!
Alex: The constitution's a mess!
Scarlet: So it needs amendments.
Alex: It's full of contradictions.
Scarlet: So is independence. We have to start somewhere.
Alex: No. No way.
Scarlet: You're making a mistake.
Alex: Good night.
Scarlet: Hey. What are you waiting for? What do you stall for?
Alex: What?
Scarlet: We won the war. What was it all for? Do you support this constitution?
Alex: Of course.
Scarlet: Then defend it.
Alex: And what if you're backing the wrong horse?
Scarlet: Burr, we studied and we fought and we killed for the notion of a nation we now get to build. For once in your life, take a stand with pride. I don't understand how you stand to the side.
Alex: I'll keep all my plans close to my chest.
Everyone: Wait for it, wait for it, wait...
Alex: I'll wait here and see which way the wind will blow.
Everyone: Which way the wind will blow.
Everyone: I'm taking my time. Watching the afterbirth of a nation. Watching the tension grow.
Jack: I am sailing of to London. I'm accompanied by someone who always pays. I have found a wealthy husband who will keep me in comfort for all my days. He is not a lot if fun, but there's no one who can match you for turn of phrase. My Scarlet~.
Scarlet: Jack...
Jack: Don't forget to write.
Mystery: Look at where you are. Look at where you started. The fact that you're alive is a miracle. Just stay alive, that would be enough. And if your wife could share a fraction of your time. If I could grant you peace of mind. Would that be enough?
Alex: Scarlet joins forces with James Madison and John Jay to write a series of essays defending the new United States Constitution, entitled The Federalist Papers. The plan was to write a total of twenty-five essays, the work divided evenly among the three men. In the end, they wrote eighty-five essays, in the span of six months. John Jay got sick after writing five. James Madison wrote twenty-nine. Hamilton wrote the other fifty-one! How do you write like you're running out of time?
Jack & Mystery: Running out of time?
Alex: Write day and night like you're running out of time?
Jack & Mystery: Running out of time?
Alex: Ev'ry day you fight like you're running out of time-
Jack & Mystery: Running out of time?
Alex: Like you're running out of time?
Jack & Mystery: Running out of time?
Alex: Are you running out of time?
AE: Awww!
Everyone: How do you write like tomorrow won't arrive? How do you write like you need it to survive? How do you write ev'ry seconds you're alive? Ev'ry second you're alive? Ev'ry second you're alive?
Me: They're asking me to lead. [Big mistake.] I'm doing the best I can to get the people that I need. I'm asking you to be my right-hand girl.
Scarlet: Treasury or State?
Me: I know it's a lot to ask.
Scarlet: Treasury or State?
Me: To leave behind the world you know...
Scarlet: Ma'am, do you want me to run the Treasury or State department?
Me: Treasury.
Scarlet: Let's go.
Mystery: Scarlet...
Scarlet: I have to leave.
Mystery: Scarlet-
Scarlet: Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now.
Mystery: Helpless...
Scarlet: They are asking me to lead.
Mystery: Look around, isn't this enough?
Jack: He will never be satisfied.
Mystery: What would be enough?
Jack: He will never be satisfied.
Mystery: Be satisfied.
Jack & Mystery: Satisfied...
Jack & Mystery: Satisfied...
Me: History has it's eyes on you.
Alex: Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room?
Mystery: Look around,
Alex: Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room?
AE: Non-Stop!
Mystery: Look around,
Jack: He will never be satisfied.
Alex: Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room?
Mystery: Is this enough, to be alive?
Alex: Soon that attitude gonna be your doom.
AE: Non-Stop!
Jack: Satisfied...
Me: History has it's eyes on you.
Alex: Why do you fight like you're running out of time?
AE: Non-Stop!
Alex, Jack, & Mystery: Why do you fight like history has it's eyes on you?
Everyone Else: History has it's eyes on you?
Scarlet: I am not throwin' away my shot!
Everyone: Just you wait.
Scarlet: I am not throwin' away my shot!
Everyone: Just you wait.
Scarlet: I am Scarlet Hamilton. Hamilton, just you wait!
Everyone: Scarlet Hamilton. Hamilton, just you wait!
Scarlet: I am not throwin' away my shot!

(I have no idea how I managed to do the ending but I did. Also, this now takes first place with 1387 words [once I finished the lyrics. The previous first place was Be More Chill with 1010 words but now it's this song.] I might be doing a backstory next for a certain character but you have to guess who the character is. You only get one chance. If you can't guess it by 9:00 p.m. tomorrow then you won't get it and I will never write it. Ever! Not even in the Ask/Dares series. You guys can guess who it is. The possible characters are:
-Cake
-Alex
-???/Mystery
-Jack
-Jackie
-Jacob
-Taylor
If you guys have any recommendations then tell me. Until then, goodbye!)
