Day #5 Kissing

John looked around for Sherlock, feeling slightly worried. He hadn't seen his friend for a couple of minutes and normally that isn't good, but in a dirty pub filled with people, it was terrible. Sherlock was a genius but he had a terrible habit of getting into trouble and dragging poor John along with him. John sighed and stood up. All he wanted was one peaceful night out with his best friend. Though normally he ruined them. He usually found a girl and abandoned Sherlock. Maybe that's why he ran away. Got sick of it. Though I did want to spend time with him. John thinks.

Sherlock, however, was at the moment being pushed against the wall of a dark alley. Right outside the pub. He had left John alone because he knew he was going to be left behind again. He hated it. John would disappear without even telling him. The first time it happened he almost stayed the entire night at the bar waiting for his friend to come back. Sherlock had decided that if John was going to find someone else to spend time with, he would too. Of course, he now realized that it was a terrible idea. People who came to the pub were either looking for a hookup, looking for a quickie, there to get drunk and the ones who came to hang out eventually made one of the choices even if they didn't mean to. The one who was pushing Sherlock against the wall at the moment was obviously looking for a quickie. He was nice enough when chatting with Sherlock. Though the moment they exited the building Sherlock found himself in this predicament. Sherlock was trying to get the man off of him to no avail. He had even tried biting his tongue when it invaded his mouth. Should have stuck with John Sherlock thought.

John was asking everyone in the pub if they had seen his friend. The only responses he got were flirting, jokes, and burps by, especially rude people. John sighed and almost gave up his search. "Tall curly-haired bloke with a long coat?" a red-haired man asked.

John sighed in relief. "That's him."

The man gestured to the door. "Walked out about two minutes ago with another guy. Poor bloke don't want to be him."

He blinked. "What?"

"Data is known for breaking hearts, whether people know him or not."

John gulped. "Thanks," he whispered and ran for the door.

John looked around for where they could have gone. A loud thump sounded down the alley. John turned towards it and crept silently. Sherlock was pinned against a wall with a hand over his mouth the man who was holding his friend was palming him. Sherlock looked distressed. John really didn't like this. He grabbed a beer bottle next to where he was standing and crept towards the man. Luckily he hadn't been noticed. Sherlock had his eyes closed and was probably focused on other things. John swung and the man went down, taking Sherlock with him. John dragged his friend away from the unconscious man. "You ok?" he whispered.

Sherlock blinked. "Yes. I'm fine. Thank you."

"Why did you leave the pub with a strange man? Sherlock. You've got more sense than that."

"I know," Sherlock said quietly. "I didn't want you to leave again. I didn't want to be alone."

John's face softened. "Oh, Sherlock. I'm so sorry." John pulled Sherlock into a hug. "We can't do anything normal can we?"

Sherlock chuckled. "Now we can't." then he sighed. "I really didn't expect my first kiss to go this way."

John froze and pushed Sherlock away so they were face to face again. "That was your first kiss?"

Sherlock blushed. "Yeah."

John frowned. Then leaned forward and pecked Sherlock's lips. "Forget that one ever happened. That can be your first kiss." he stood up. "Let's go home," he said and held his hand out to SHerlock.

Sherlock smiled and took it happily. They walked to the street and hailed a cab. Baker street was never the same after that night. Let's just say Sherlock got many more kisses after that. The ones of the strange man all but forgotten. Johns were a lot better.
