Terence POV

I stopped and sat on my bed facing her
"We have to tell them ...everything" I said

"Everything?" She frowned

"Yea we have to... they know something's off and they won't rest until they get it out of us"

"Is telling them about that spoiled girl necessary? You don't like discussing your stuff with everyone... will you be okay with it? You haven't been yourself lately I'm worried about you"

"Yea I'll be ... Besides we promised not to keep stuff away from them anymore after we told them about your friend"

"Hmm" she nodded

I sighed after a few minutes of silence

"Were we that transparent to them?" She asked staring in open space

"I guess we were... we're their children after all"

After a few minutes of silence I got up and she did too

"Come on... let's go and tell them"

We exited my room and entered the hallway, we walked till we reached the steps that led downstairs

When we reached the living room, we found our parents cuddling, I'm sure they were waiting for us

They looked at us immediately we showed up

We sat across them as usual and the room was silent. This reminded me when mom was about to make up with dad after their ugly fight

Tense filled the air

"We've noticed you two have been quite off lately. When something is wrong we are the right people to talk to and if we're not available Aunt Tia is the person to approach... now tell us  ...what's going on" Dad said authoritatively

"I sure didn't raise my children to give me fake affection" mom mumbled

Dad gave her a little glare and she closed her mouth immediately

I didn't have to think twice before I started speaking

I told our parents everything, about how I liked this girl and how she ignored me and all of the sudden she needed help

My parents didn't look pleased at all, mom looked deeply disappointed at the story I just narrated and my father seemed somehow annoyed

"So much happened and you didn't tell us... again?" Mom sniffed,

I looked at her, that's when I realized she was crying

"Didn't you promise not to keep serious stuff away from us?"

But it wasn't that serious

"I was scared to tell you mom... Where would I have started?

"But you could've told me or your father" she said in between her sobs

"Calm down Babe" Dad said

What happened to us wasn't that serious that she could cry over it, but then I guess she couldn't control her emotions with her condition

"We could've told you ..we were just waiting for the right time" Resa joined in the conversation

"And when was that?" Dad asked irritated "When things happen you tell us. We're your parents, big or small. If it made you look depressed then it wasn't small now was it?"

We nodded

"So now that that's settled you'll stop wearing that uniform of yours and get a proper uniform, forget that girl ...you're too young to sulk and zone out because of some 13 year old kid" Dad said
