CHAPTER 44

Terrence POV

I led my sister to the car that was there to pick us up today

She didn't retaliate and was quiet the whole way to the parking lot, she was only quiet because she probably didn't want to make a scene

If not for that she was going to give me a hard time

I opened the back door and let her enter and closed it

All hell was going to break loose in this car if I entered it too that was an obvious fact

I leant towards the driver's window

"Take her home"

"Alright sir" he nodded

Resa glared at me through the window as the car drove off

I sighed

I was going to use public transport

I walked out of the school gate and started walking towards the road junction to catch a bus

I walked for two minutes when a Honda Accord pulled over

"Come on in"

I looked to see Cat in the back seat

"No thanks" I said

"I really don't mind, your hood is close to mine" she insisted

I sighed

She was impossible

I ignored her in my class out of anger, I felt like crap for doing that to her. Refusing more was going to make me look bad in her eyes

"Alright" I said and opened the back door before I entered

"Tipita ku Namiwawa kukamusiya kenako kunyumba" she said to the driver (we'll go to Namiwawa then home)

"Chabwino" (alright)

The whole drive was silent until we reached my hood, I had to give directions to the driver after she insisted of dropping me home and not at the bus stop

I looked at her

She has a kind heart

She's one out of thousands rich kids that wasn't spoilt

That got me wondering, how did she change all of the sudden. The hood next to mine is Kalimbuka and I remember that's not where she stayed last time I dropped her at her house

She's a mystery

A mystery that I'll soon figure out

But still I'm glad she's my sister's friend, she won't have to worry about being illtreated or worry about her friend anymore

Philip is one lucky fool, it's sad to think that he'd only use her and toss her away after he's done

That thought made me angry

I won't let him have her

Suddenly I was startled when I felt her hand on my clenched one

"Are you okay?" She asked

I hadn't realized I clenched my hands

"Uh yeah I'm fine" I said unclenching them

She looked outside

"Is this your house?" She asked

I turned my head to check and indeed it was, I turned to her again

"Yeah thanks for the ride" I said
