CHAPTER 36

Catherine POV

School had started and I was the usual self except a lot of things had changed in my life after that talk with my mom

My dad was at home when the clock hit 06:00 a.m and I wondered what time he woke up

He looked out of place when he entered our house, the house was small for him but it didn't mind to him

I spent time with my parents for the first time and it was the best experience of my life

I was totally missing out

He used to come home everyday after that until he brought up an idea of us moving in with him

Mom was against it at first but my dad and I convinced her, I think she got used to just being the two of us

I changed my surname to my dad's and it kind of felt right having my dad's surname as my own

Dad forced me to go shopping and buy as many clothes as I could possibly can but I ended up buying two sweatpants and a pair of Snickers, so he took me to the mall himself and bought me every kind of cloth you could think of

Not sure if I'll wear them all

I was currently at school and oh by the way dad bought me a new school uniform from the school

I felt like not wearing it because of how expensive it was

Honestly I don't think I'll get used to this high life

I had just left Mr Chad our math teacher, Math was not my friend honestly and I needed extra tuition

I had to discuss for part-time tuition with Mr Chad

I went back in class and sat on the sit near the wall but not too far from the window

The class was noisy as usual with students in their normal groups, chatting and waiting for the next teacher to arrive

I didn't have friends here, it was usually just me so I never left the class until it was necessary otherwise I spend my break and lunch here unless I brought money

Mr Mollies came in for Geography and I took out my geo exercise book to write short notes for future use

"Good morning class"

"Good morning Mr Mollies"

"We're learning about maps today, let's start by defining it. What is a map, how do you think you can define a map"

With that the class started and all attention was on the teacher

The bell rang which signaled that the class had ended and Mr Mollies left a few minutes after

I got lunch money today which meant cafe food, I felt lazy and didn't want to leave the class honestly but I had to feed my angry tummy

I packed my things in my bag and took it with me to the cafeteria

It was packed with students as usual, I got my food and sat on my usual sit where nobody sat, I didn't mind sitting alone, I loved my company so I never felt lonely

I put my food on the table, said my prayers and started eating

I was half way through my food when I heard a voice so close to me

Must be talking to the people on the next table

"Um Catherine?"

I shoot my head up fast surprise on my face, nobody never approached me
