Third POV

Victor had restless nights and was deeply troubled after he saw one of the kids he sponsor fees for was actually the child of the love of his life

He was in his grey sweatpants with a white shirt currently in his backyard sitting on one of few chairs scattered around there, he held a picture in his hands looking into open space

He had a lot going on his mind

Is she married? Is that why she didn't give me attention?

We've been separated for years the least she would do was be happy we met

He had constantly visited her working place trying to woe her but she asked him politely to leave each time

Claire wouldn't even let him know where she stayed

He looked at the picture the principal gave him again and again

She really moved on

I can't believe she moved on

I shouldn't have left her

He looked at it again

Catherine really looks like her

He sighed

Claire having a child didn't stop him from wanting her back, if accepting and taking care of her child was what it took to get her then he was down for it

He missed her so much he would do anything to have her again

He would take care of her child if needed be

"Sir"

He looked up to see one of his maids

"Your Parents are here to see you sir"

He nodded

His parents, the people that ruined his life, the reason his love left, moved on and had a child with another man

The reason why he was miserable

After he was forced to marry that woman, his relationship with his parents went down the drain

Yes he wanted to make them proud, he wanted to make them happy but he realized they did not care how he felt

They never thought how the marriage would affect him

After Victor realized what his parents did to him was wrong, he decided to care for his parents from afar

He got up and turned around, his eyes roamed around the place he barely called home

His house was big alright

He clicked his tongue

What was the use of having it when he was the only one staying in it, without anybody to share it with

If only he had married Claire, things would've been different in his life

He pictured being married to Claire with their little children running around the house

If only I married her fourteen years ago

He sighed and made his way inside

Victor found his parents seated on his couch waiting for him

"Morning" Victor said

"Good morning son" his father Dave Monroe said

He chuckled

"What's good about this morning?" Victor asked

They all became silent

Tension was thick in the room and Victor didn't like it one bit, he wished they'd just tell him what they wanted and leave
