Terrence POV

"You look great my little babies" mom said looking at us with a pride smile

I had just walked in Resa's room to see if she was ready when mom came in to check on us

She side hugged me and rested her arm on my waist and I settled mine around her shoulders

"We're not little anymore mom" I said in amusement

"Hmm" she smiled looking up to me "you aren't... I have to crane my neck just to reach your eyes" she glanced at me

I chuckled

"Are you ready honey?" She asked Resa

She was sat on a fancy stool in front of a wall length mirror putting what ever that was on her eyelashes looking all focused

"Almost mom, just the mascara and I'll be officially ready"

"Okay" she nodded "well your father took my job and I don't have anything to do"

"He did a pretty good job, I'm impressed" I said looked at her

"It's really organised" Resa added

"What's that supposed to mean" mom frowned "my parties are organised"

"Weeeeeeeell" I said playing with her

She hit my shoulder continuously in response

"I'm joking mom" I laughed getting away from her

"Rude children! I like you no more" she pouted and left the room playfully

That cracked me up

"Mom's crazy" I chuckled turning towards Resa but my laughter died as soon as I saw my sister looking at me through the mirror

Gone was her focused state, she looked at me sadly tears glistening in her eyes

"What's wrong" I asked sitting on her bed

"Nothing" she shook her head and dabbed her eyes lightly wiping a lone tear that tried to escape "I haven't seen you like this in days"

I stayed silent

I hadn't been myself for the past two days that was true

My mind completely shut

I didn't think about how it'd affect Teresa, I just needed some alone time to collect myself up that's what I was focused at

I didn't want to see Catherine or anyone for that matter

I wanted to forget her since she wanted me to stay away from her for good

Everything reminded me of her and I just couldn't be at a place where there were memories of Catherine

So I isolated myself until I knew I was ready

I just needed a few days

I was in happy moods today because it was a big day for my family and mostly my mom

I'd wrong her if she saw my sad state

"Was isolating yourself the best option?" She asked "skipping school and locking yourself in your room"

"I needed some alone time Resa" I sighed

"What about me? I was worried about you" she turned and looked at me

"I'm here now"

She got up sat next to me, she wrapped her arms around and laid her head on my shoulder

"I missed my big brother" she muttered

"I missed you too" I grinned

"She came to us yesterday" she said as she pulled away from me
