CHAPTER 55

Catherine POV

I went overboard didn't I

Was that really mean?

I was annoyed, he just wouldn't leave me alone

I ignored and avoided him, I stopped going to his class but he had the audacity to come to my class looking for me

Couldn't he just get the fact that I didn't want to see him right now

I thought about what happened with Aimee and I connected the dots later that day when I got home

I thought about it all night

He came back to me after Aimee was all over him at the cafe that day and she approached me with her nonsense

What was I to think

They were probably back together and that angered even me more

I just wanted him to stay away for good

That's how I felt that day when I went all out on him

But now I felt guilty for what I did, I shouldn't have talked to him like that

I was blinded by anger and jealousy that I didn't think straight

I didn't tell Dad what happened because I knew he wouldn't be pleased with my story

I was so astonished when I found out that Terrence and Aimee weren't together the next day

A girl from my class named Georgia approached me

Flashback

We were in groups of two during math period and Mr Chad divided us in the groups himself

I sighed inwardly when he paired me with one of Aimee's girls

"Hey" she said

"Hey" I answer quietly

I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone, especially one of Aimee's friends

"Catherine right?"

Wow she knows my name

Weird

I nodded

"I'm Georgia"

Right

We started solving some math problems and discussing numbers and letters

She wasn't really that bad for someone who was in Aimee's group

"You're really nice for someone who's introverted" Georgia said

"Thank you" I said

"Terrence is lucky to have you" she smiled

I frowned for a second before pulling out my normal straight face

"We're... not really together" I corrected her

"What? No" she said in disbelief "I thought you guys were, with the rumours and chemistry that was roaming around y'all"

"Chemistry?" I furrowed my eyebrows

"Yeah" she said in a duh tone

"We don't have-"

"Girl stop I see how you guys look at each other, it's so cool Aimee is jealous of you both"

I felt goosebumps all on my upper body
