Terrence POV

I'm glad I took the car today otherwise Catherine wouldn't be next to me right now

We had just got in the car and I wanted to talk to her, I knew I wouldn't get the chance when I reached her place

I looked at her, she was looking in front probably avoiding me like she has been doing

"I never got to thank you for what happened on the last day of school" I started

She looked at me

Finally

"You don't have to thank me it was really nothing" she said looking down

I sighed

"Still...Thank you...I would've been sick if you hadn't gotten me out of the rain and got my wounds treated at the sick bay"

"You're welcome" she nodded

I smiled at her as I started the car and we were soon on our way

Now that I've thanked her, I'll finally be at peace, she won't evade my mind and I'll be a free man

The guiltiness left me immediately she had said you're welcome

The car ride was silent until we reached Mable street and she had to give me the direction to her house

A few turns and we were right outside her houde

"Thank you for giving me a ride home" she said looking at me

I wish she smiled at me for at least once like she does with my cousins

The carefree Catherine was left at my Uncle's house, she went back to her quiet self again as soon as we got out of the house

"You're welcome" I smiled a little

"Can I have your number?" I asked

Her eyes widened

What was wrong with her?

Did I say something wrong?

She looked at me surprise written all over her face and I wondered if I had said the wrong words

"If you don't mind that is" I added

I don't know why I asked for it but I'm sure it'd come in handy some day

"Uuhhh ...um I...I don't mind"

"Right....here"

I gave her my phone or my mom's phone and she gave me a confused look

"Your number?"

"Oh ...right" she said getting it and tapped my phone quickly

I hope she got the number right with how quickly she tapped on the phone

"Can I call it?" I asked

She nodded

I saved her number and dialed it and I heard her phone ring in her pocket and I cut the call

"Thank you again" she said opening the door

"You're welcome"

She got out

"Hey" I called her

She turned her face on the window

"See you on Monday?"

"Ummm ....yea...see you" she whispered the last part and disappeared

I started the car and drove home with what happened today on my mind
