Third POV

Terrence greeted a few of his mother and father's employees before leaving the room

He couldn't be there anymore

He was in the corridor when he heard a lady call his name

He turned to see Mrs Monroe

"Hey I'm looking for the bathroom is it okay if you show me" she smiled

She was a pretty woman, he saw why Catherine was so beautiful, she looked just like her mother

"Yes sure" Terrence nodded politely

He led the way

They walked out of the wide corridor in silence

"Do you like my daughter?" She suddenly asked as they entered the living room

He was taken by surprise at the question

Whaybwas he to say, was he going to tell her he does or was he going to tell her he was done with her

Or that he was trying to forget her because she wanted him to stay away

"I'm sorry" she gave out a nervous chuckle "I shouldn't have asked that"

"No it's fine" he said

"It's just that I got curious, the way you looked at her at the table and... she reciprocated the same stare"

He chuckled inwardly

Everyone said that Catherine liked him but she proved all of them wrong

He did not believe any of the nonsense everyone said about Catherine liking him, all he saw was hatred when he tried to talk to her the day he went to her class

He shook his head

It's clear she doesn't like me

How unfortunate

They walked under the stairs into another corridor where the bathroom was

"I'm sure you didn't see right" Terrence said as he stopped and looked down to her

"What?" Claire asked confused

"You must've seen right from my side" he averted his gaze elsewhere "I like your daughter but I'm not really sure if she likes me back"

"I'm sure she does" she was sure of what she was saying

Terrence shook his head

"She doesn't" he said

Looking at the door, his eyes rolled to the woman

"This is the bathroom" he said

Claire looked at the boy, she just met him but she felt he was not his normal self. He seemed troubled

Something must've happened she thought

"How are you so sure?" She asked

"I saw it in her eyes" He gave her a sad smile

Seeing left the women speechless, he excused himself politely and walked away

Claire sighed, she didn't want to use the bathroom

She wanted to talk to the boy because she had the feeling he was the one her daughter liked

Catherine talked about him very much with her father the day she found them together in the bedroom

Victor was disappointed that he kissed her and told her it was nothing, if not for her he was going to make a scene about it

Claire wanted to find out what was going on since Cathy never came to her about the issue
