Escape The Dead

Chapter 2- Evacuate the High School

"Nicole!" Jillian ran towards the girl that opened the door for them.

Nicole had black and white sneakers, skinny blue jeans and wearing her black soccer jersey with the big number 6 in white on the front. She had her brown hair tied into a ponytail with a head band and she was also slightly taller than Gina. Nicole eagerly returned Jillian's hug. The other two in the lab were Joe and Jack. Joe had a black hooded sweater and a brown baggy pants. He is Nicole's twin brother even though they look nothing alike. Nicole was way taller than him, Joe only went up to Gina's nose. He has curly brown hair and freckles. Nicole has freckles too but not as much. Both of their eye color is brown. Jack was about Joe's height, maybe a little taller. Jack has light brown hair and blue eyes. He wore a red t-shirt and black pants with red sneakers.

"So you guys survived as well," Gina voiced to Joe and Jack, leaving Nicole and Jillian's reunion alone.

"Yeah, ever since then we were in the computer lab for the whole time," said Jack.

"We're happy to see that we're not the only one that survived," voiced Joe.

"How did you two survive?" questioned Nicole.

"Well, I was the one that saved Jillian from getting attacked by zombies," Gina went on telling the whole story of how Jillian was not useful, how Jillian was dead weight and how she had to do everything by herself. Jillian glared at Gina even though all the things she said about Jillian was mostly true.

They laughed a bit until they heard the windows cracking. Gina knew that those windows won't be able to hold the zombies back any longer. Gina took out her phone and dialed a number she knew that belonged to a girl on this floor. After a few seconds, music started to play down the hall. The zombies heard it and stopped banging on the door and windows. They went after the music.

"Okay, come on, lets go," said Gina.

"Wait? We're going out there?" Nicole asked with a worried face.

"Yes, cause if we don't the zombies will come back and break down the windows, coming in and turning all of us into them," Gina reasoned.

Jack and Joe agreed with Gina and followed her out the door slowly. Nicole and Jillian followed close behind. They ran down the hall towards the stairs quietly. They stopped when there were zombies roaming on the stairs. Gina went down the stairs smashing and stabbing at the zombie's head. They all stared at Gina who was killing most of the zombies. Gina looked back at them, breathing hard. Her clothes was stained with more blood and a little blood splattered on her face. Gina used her sleeves to wipe off the blood on her face but only smudging it instead.

"Jill, for the love of god, if you're not going to help, I insist that you give that long stick that I gave you for defense, to someone else," Gina insisted, smashing any zombies that got too close to them.

Jillian looked at the long stick with the sharp end that was blood clean, then she looked at Nicole who looked at Joe who looked at Jack. Jack grunted and took the stick from Jillian. Jack noticed a zombie coming down behind them on the stairs and acted. He thrust the sharp end of the stick through the zombies neck and flipped the zombie off the railing. The blood leaked down the stick on to Jack's hand, he wiped the blood on to his red t-shirt.

"Looks like Jack has some fight in him," Gina smiled.

"Hey, you need some help. You can't fight all alone after all. You might get bitten, so we have to protect ourselves too. And plus, I don't want to die in this hell hole," Jack grinned.
