Escape The Dead

Chapter 22- Werewolf?!

"What the hell is that?!" Matt yelled.

"I don't know, maybe some kind of monster. But how did it get in to the training area? We barricaded the whole area, so no other zombies can get in," said Tyler, confused.

"I don't know how or what, but they need help." Johnny ran down the hill to where Jack and Gina is. Matt and Tyler soon followed.

Gina and Jack could hear the growl coming from the creature that attacked Gina.

"You're sure that's a zombie? Cause it looks living to me," Jack whispered to Gina.

"I'm not really sure," Gina whispered back.

They both eyed the creature not making any movements. Its jet black fur helped it blend in with its dark surroundings, while its sharp teeth became visible when it growled at them. Gina can see the creature clearly but the only problem is that she can only see red. Everything around her, she sees red, kind of like the night vision goggles she had. Jack was having trouble seeing the thing in the dark unlike Gina. The beast rised to its hind legs while roaring. Jack placed back the katanas in their sheath, and fired at the beast with his auto rifle. It's howled and the agitated creature charged at them on its four legs.

"RUN!" Gina yelled.

Jack and Gina sprinted away from the beast. Jack was still firing at the beast that chased after. It's white teeth shone through the dark night as drools splashed from its mouth.

"Damn, that thing's body is like armor." Jack yelled.

The bullet literally scratch off its body like jello. Gina glanced back to see the creature high on their tail.

"Ok, that's it!" Gina gritted her teeth, stopped, drew out her two black bladed tonfas and dashed at the beast.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Jack yelled seeing Gina swinging her blade out at the beast.

"Trying to save us!" Gina slashed at the beast but it stood back on its hind legs missing the the blade and wacked Gina to the side hitting against a tree.

"Gina!" Jack ran to Gina's side. The black furred creature walked over to them on its hind legs. "Well look at that. It can walk on two legs." Jack casually said.

"Forget about that! We're gonna die!" Gina snapped.

Jack and Gina looked at each other then at the beast. They both hugged under the tree and screamed out loud. Then, just when the creature took a step closer to Jack and Gina, Johnny, out of no where, kneed the beast to the face. The creature dropped to the ground. Johnny quickly drew out his broadsword and stabbed into the creature's chest, killing it.

"Guess the under side is more soft." Jack shrugged, remembering how the bullets slid of the creature's side and back.

"You guys ok?" said Johnny pulling out his broadsword from the monster's chest.

"Yeah, we're fine. Thanks." Jack reached out a hand to pull Gina off the ground.

Gina dust herself as she walked closer to the beast to get a close look. Johnny took out a flashlight to flash at the beast to get a clearer view.

"We're here!"

They turned around to see Tyler waving his hand with Matt and Dr. Adam following behind him.

"And we also brought Dr. Adam!" Matt said.

Dr. Adam ran up to the beast to examine it. Everyone else circled around.

"What is that, Dr. Adam?" Jack asked.

"Oh I don't know but it's definitely not from nature. Some mad scientist created this creature."

"Like how you created zombies?" Gina cross her arms.

"Gina. No need to remind him," said Matt.

"Bring this 'thing' to the lab. I need to do some testing," said Dr. Adam.

They dragged the beast to the lab. They placed the beast on a table. Dr. Adam wore a pair of white gloves and started to dissecting it.

"Dr. Adam?" Tyler called.

"Is it some kind of zombies?" Jack asked.

"No, this thing is a monster. It's seems to be a fusion of a wolf and a human being."

"In short, you mean a werewolf," said Gina.

"Yes. But the only difference from the werewolf in shows and books is that this werewolf has fur made of metal. The only way to kill it is by attacking it's underbelly or face."

"Why the underbelly? Or face?" asked Matt.

"Because its the only place without metal fur. It covers the entire back body from top head to the tip of its tail."

"Ok then why would it be all the way up here in the mountains?" Gina questioned.

"It might of just wondered here, or someone sent it here." Dr. Adam glared at the werewolf. "We're gonna have to leave. I somehow have this feeling that there will be more."

"Right. Let's get packing." Matt said.

"Grab as much weapons as you can. We leave right away," Tyler said.

"I'll get the helicopter ready to leave the town," said Johnny.

"Wait, we can't leave the town yet!" Gina said.

"Our friends are still here, in town," said Jack.

"Ok, depending who your friends are we'll go help,"said Tyler.

"So name away," said Johnny.

"You guys are cold hearted, you know that," Jack said.

"We don't know if we can trust them," said Matt.

"They go to the same high school we do. They are Jill, Nicole, Joe, Zoie, and Peyton." Gina said.

"Wait? Jill, as in the Jillian that's in our school, right?" Johnny asked.

"Yeah."

"We're definitely going to save them."

"Well, that was easy to change your mind John," said Gina.

"To tell you the truth, John kinda have a crush on Jill," said Matt.

"Oh is that it. You love Jill." Jack rised a brow.

"Shut up! Are we going or not?" said Johnny.

"Yeah we're coming," Gina chuckled.

"Do you know where they are?" Tyler asked.

"Probably in town looking for us," replied Jack.

"Ok so here's the plan. You two go find them and we'll catch up with you. Take this radio transmitter with you," Tyler handed a radio transmitter to Gina and Jack.

"You're not coming?" Jack asked, confused.

"We have some business to finish." Tyler winked as he walked out with Johnny and Matt.

Gina grabbed a red ribbon from a near be desk and tied her dark brown hair into a low ponytail. "Let's get going." Gina waved for Jack to follow.

They walked out the lab to the helicopter. Beside the helicopter was a motorcycle. Gina walked over and sat on the motorcycle. She pat on the seat for Jack to come.

"You know how to drive a motorcycle?" Jack asked getting on.

"I've driven one when I was with Jill. I never knew I could drive one." Gina started the engine and rode off.

You may think it's weird to have werewolves in the story but don't worry its mainly about them surviving zombies not werewolves. But let's see how Jillian and the other half of the team is doing so far on the next chapter.
