Escape The Dead

Chapter 35- Lost of Friends

Gina groaned as she dashed. Jillian side stepped and Gina did a quick turn. Jillian brought her rapier up blocking Gina's blade. Jillian jumped back giving some space between them. Jillian then darted forward and slashed Gina's tonfa causing her arm to go up giving Jillian an opening.

"Matt, now!" Jillian called.

Matt dashed up to Gina, ready to inject the antidote when she quickly swung her arm down with her blade. Matt brought up his scythe on reflex, making Gina's tonfa hit the handle of the scythe with great force causing the scythe to tilt, twisting his arm making him do a sideways spin, hitting the floor on his back. Matt groaned and Gina was about to stab him when Joe came in deflecting Gina's blade and dragged Matt out of her range.

"Thanks dude," said Matt.

"Just be quicker next time," Joe said. "The more Gina turns closer to a zombie the faster she's getting."

"But I don't get it, zombies aren't suppose to be fast," said Matt. "It should be the opposite."

"Guys! Less chit chat and more helping!" Jillian called out as she blocked Gina's attacks.

"We need a plan!" Joe yelled.

"Well I'm open to suggestions!" Jillian shouted almost getting her head chopped by Gina.

"We need to stop her movements," Matt said.

"And how are we gonna do that?" Jillian questioned jumping back from Gina.

"We have to take out her legs," Joe said.

"What!? I'm not doing that! I'm not just gonna cut her legs off just to inject the syringe!" Jillian yelled.

"I don't mean cut it off!" Joe yelled back.

"Then what do you mean!" Jillian screamed rolling aside dodging Gina's attacks.

"I mean slow her down!" Joe yelled.

"Then how are we gonna slow her down?" Jillian yelled back.

"I don't know, trip her, tie her legs up?" Joe said.

"You really think that will work?" Matt asked.

"I don't know, maybe?" Joe shrugged.

"Will you quit it with the 'I don't knows,'" Jillian snapped.

Jillian rolled aside and stood up breathing hard. She can't keep dodging and blocking Gina's attacks, it's just a waste of energy. Holding her rapier at her chest, the blade pointing forward, Jillian thrust her arm out before contact, aiming to skewer Gina from where she stood. But, not expecting anything less of Gina, she swiftly parried the strike, leaving Gina to continue on behind her, spinning on her heel to face Gina once more. Without missing a beat, Jillian moved once again. She sped toward Gina's back, bringing her rapier around in a downward slash. Gina was fast too and she spun around with enough time to block the attack.

'God she's super fast for a zombie, maybe it's the prototype antidote? It might be affecting her ability as she changes?' Jillian guessed.

Jillian quickly pulled back making Gina stagger forward and Jillian kicked Gina in the stomach making her fly a couple feet back.

"Wow... didn't know I could kick that well, or Gina's lighter than usual," Jillian questioned amusingly.

Gina got back up and dashed toward Jillian, but this time when she moved, she moved with unimaginable speed. Jillian was lucky to bring her rapier up in time, but the force of the blow caused her to stagger backwards. The attacks kept coming and the tide of the battle was quickly shifting, Jillian was losing ground and she had to do something, and quick.
