Escape The Dead
Chapter 21- Training
Jillian was limping, her right leg had a huge gash from the zombie leopard.
"I can't believe you didn't see that coming." Joe said, shooting zombies in the head while Nicole was trying take down the zombie leopard.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know, it was sneaking up on me." Jillian was having trouble moving.
The zombie leopard growled as it tries to jump on Nicole. She jumped back and wacked the zombie leopard with the backpack and shot multiple bullets at it.
"We have to get out of here!" Zoie yelled.
"Right here!" Peyton ran in the convenience store.
Zoie helped Jillian over while Nicole and Joe try to hold back the zombies. Once everyone was in, they barricaded the glass doors. The zombies squash their faces against the door and banging with their hands. The zombie leopard was banging against the windows while Peyton was tossing boxes to barricade the windows. Jillian was on the floor holding her bleeding leg. They didn't have any more first aid kits so Zoie went searching around the store for one and Joe and Nicole scanned the area. Zoie kneeled down beside Jillian wrapping the bandages around her wound.
"Thanks Zoie," Jillian said.
"Don't worry about it."
"Looks like we'll be stuck in here for a while. I'm glad it's morning though," said Joe, looking at the crowded zombies behind the doors.
"I hope Gina and Jack are having more fun that we are," Nicole replied.
"Yeah," Jillian said.
___________________________Blades cut through the air, as Jack and Matt rushed at each other. Metal clashed, and the pair began the sword dance.
"Looks like you're getting used to that arm," Matt smirked.
"It's getting alot lighter the more I use it," said Jack.
Tyler threw himself aside as the blade cut through the space he had been moments before. Gina flipped the blade of the tonfas under her arm using it as defense to block the battle axe Tyler swung. Jack and Gina had been training the whole time learning how to use their new weapons. They're training in an open room with no obstacles in their way. Johnny had been watching their movement from the side.
"You seem to know what you're doing," said Tyler backing up.
"I've used tonfas before, just never bladed." Gina smiled, moving slowly before attacking again.
Tyler rolled aside, landing on one knee. Gina charged in. Flipping the blade out, Tyler blocked the blades of the tonfas with his battle axe. On Jack's end, swords clashed repeatedly, small cuts appearing on one or another on them from time to time, but nothing major. It was training so they try not to put major cuts on one another. After a particularly wide slash from Jack's double katana, Matt flipped back and landed some way away, breaking the fight for a moment. After training with blades for a couple of hours they stopped. Gina and Jack took a break drinking water and bandaged up some small wounds.
"Your movement seems to be more smoother and faster than the beginning," said Johnny. "Next we'll train in hand to hand combat."
Gina and Jack nodded. After a good rest they went back to training.
__________________________The others are still stuck in the convenience store.
"Why would you do so much for them?" Peyton asked.
