Stumbling into the house, I'm giggling as I lean into Christian, pulling off my shoes and tossing them off to the side. Christian holds me stable, a little handsier than just supporting me. I'm not sure his hands have left my body since we walked out of dinner. Once I'm back upright and he's got his shoes off, his lips find their way to the side of my neck, making me laugh a little harder. We both probably had a little more to drink than we'd thought.
Pushing him gently off me, "Christian." My slight scolding is much less effective because it's accompanied by my continued giggles. His hot breath on my neck sends a tingle down my spine as I lead us to the kitchen before he nibbles at my ear.
"Oh my god," I exclaim, still laughing as I remove his hands from my waist. That lasts about a second before they find their way back, taking the opportunity to push my hips gently to make me turn towards him.
Letting him make me face him, our faces just inches apart as he's sharing a grin I'm sure just as big as mine is. "God, I love you," He tells me before he moves in to kiss me.
Kissing him back, he holds me tightly to him before he dips us, my laughter breaking the kiss as I hold my arms around to help keep me from falling. "I love you."
Letting this moment continue a little longer, I'm the one who breaks it before things progress further, "We should eat that cake before it gets any worse."
"That's not the cake I'm interested in," Christian tells me.
"Oh my god," I laugh, unable to help but roll my eyes. Taking his hand, I finish leading us to the kitchen as his free hand wraps around me once again. His hand rests on my lower abdomen, arm around my back as he keeps me close to him while I grab a knife and a couple of forks before leading our way to the cabinet to grab a plate.
Setting the plate to the side, I take the knife again, "You going to cut it with me?"
"I kind of like where my hands are right now," He tells me, both hands found their way around my waist. Scoffing slightly, I roll my eyes with a slight shake of my head, smile still on my face. As I'm moving to cut the cake, Christian takes my hand in his left hand and helps push the knife in. "It thawed okay."
"Right," I say, as we move to make the full slice. We finish plating the slice before I grab the fork first and grab a bit of the cake before turning to feed it to Christian. He takes his bite before nodding to the side.
"It's not bad," He tells me, taking his turn to grab the other fork and grab me a bite. "Better than I'd expected."
"Really?"
"Yeah," He says, bringing the fork up for me. Taking my bite, I'm not quick enough to get my hand up to catch the small bit that falls before it lands on my chest. I'm about to wipe it off before Christian stops me, "Nope, I've got it." My brow furrows for a brief moment before Christian ducks his head down to lick it off of my chest.
"You're a dork," I tell him, laughing as he comes up with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face.
"You love me."
"Can't argue there," I tell him, chuckling to myself as I turn to grab another bite of our cake, "This is still pretty good though."
Grabbing the fork again, I grab another bite, facing him as I do, his hands once again resting on my hips. He's watching me a moment while I take in his features for the millionth time, my eyes lingering on his lips longer than anything else. This cake really is the least interesting thing I can think of right now. Once I swallow the second bite I'd had, my eyes glance up and meet his again.
