CHILL’S POV WEDNESDAY 9:15 A.M.
“What do you mean by ‘social experiment’?” I nervously asked. I have a gut feeling that something is really off with what’s happening right now.
Mother Superior smiled at us. “You see, everything that happened here happened for a reasonl.”
Umiling si Gretel. She looks so puzzled, I can feel she’ll suffer from a headache anytime soon. “Happened for a reasonl? So this ‘intimate’ retreat involving the five of us is intentional?” she confusingly asked.
“Walang intimate retreat” sagot ni Mother Superior. “Yung mga pinaggagawa niyong lima dito ay part ng retreat ng buong batch niyo…” she smiled at us then I noticed na pasimple siyang kumindat doon sa sulok ng kisame.
Did Mother Superior just winked at the ceiling? I confusingly asked myself. Nung tiningnan ko yung ceiling, napansin ko na may parang gadget na umilaw.
Napanganga na lang ako. Lumakas yung kabog ng dibdib ko. My knees almost felt jelly-like muntik na akong mapaluhod sa sahig. "Is that a-" bulong ko sa sarili ko while still in disbelief.
The gut feeling in my stomach worsened. Natandaan ko tuloy bigla yung distant cousin ko na naka-hangout ko last summer sa Plantation Bay Resort sa Mactan. That cousin of mine graduated from Darthwester last year and she told me something about their graduation retreat.
“There will be a film showing...” She flirtingly said while watching the sunset at the infinity pool.
Natawa ako “Film showing? For real? Ang boring naman! Anong klaseng movie pinapanood sa inyo? Some preachy stuff about friendship, God and growing up?" I sarcastically asked.
"No, silly! It'll be a film showing like no other. Kung ano mang ipapanood sa inyo doon, you and your batch will never forget that." Wala akong napala doon sa kinuwento ng pinsan ko. I ended up more confused than before... Until now.
Magsasalita na sana ako sa napansin ko sa ceiling nang magsalita bigla si Jamie. "CCTV camera ba yan!?" sigaw niya habang nakaturo doon sa exact spot sa ceiling na nakita ko.
Tumingala na rin sa kisame sina Pacheco, Gretel at Trisha. May kanya-kanya na rin silang napansin na camera sa bawat sulok ng silid! The place we're staying are crawling with cameras!
Hilakbot na hilakbot si Gretel "Holy crap, are we being filmed!? Oh my god, my hair looks so horrible!" nagpapanic siyang maghanap ng salamin para ayusin yung buhok niya.
"Seryoso ba 'to?" Tanong ni Pacheco habang ineenpeksyon yung hidden camera na nakatago sa flower vase. "Ano 'to PBB?" amused niyang tanong
"This is so not the Big Brother House! This is more like a haunted house!" hysterical na sabi ni Trisha.
Nagpatuloy sa pagpanic (for all the wrong reasons) si Gretel "Hindi pa ako nakakapag-shower! The viewers, especially the TFC subscribers, can't see me like this!!!"
"TFC subscribers agad? Hindi pa nga natin alam kung sinong nanonood nito eh..." sabat ni Pacheco
"Relax lang guys. Nagwo-worry kayo sa mga bagay na hindi naman mahalaga. Pero teka, pati ba yung shower at yung kuwarto ng girls may hidden cam?" kalmadong tanong ni Jamie. Siya lang at ako (although deep inside, I'm panicking too) ang hindi nagwawala.
Nagsalita bigla ang nananahimik na si Mother Superior "Wala. Walang hiddencam sa loob ng shower at girl's bedroom. Dito lang sa common room ang mga camera para mapanood ng mga ka-batch niyo ang 'intimate retreat' niyo." she monotonously said.
"Oh my gosh, so kami pala ang subject ng 'film showing' na narinig kong pinag-uusapan ng mga kakilala kong grumaduate last year!" Trisha said while blushing
