Chapter 24: Garden

"Are you okay?" Taehyung asks as he watches Bogum come out from the bathroom, freshly showered.

"Yeah, I'm okay..." he smiles weakly. He's rather used to getting looked down at like this, so he's not startled as most people would be. Taehyung, on the other hand, is going through a whole lot of emotions.

Why would Jungkook act like that? Sure, he's an asshole and has always been, but Taehyung has seen some other sides of him recently, so it hurts his heart to see those sides disappearing into dust as soon as there are people around him.

"I'm sorry for him, Jungkook's an asshole..." Taehyung signs before slumping his shoulders. Bogum frowns slightly at that, throwing his towel on a chair so it can dry off. He's wearing a simple shirt and a pair of shorts. Taehyung is fully dressed because nothing was done against him, but Bogum would wish it was different.

"Why are you saying sorry for him?" Bogum asks. He doesn't know why Jungkook has been bothering them, not the small episode in the music room either. So why is Taehyung suddenly acting like they are friends?

Taehyung is a little taken aback by that. Why is he saying sorry for Jungkook? They aren't even friends, they are just 'fuckbuddies' as some would label it. He furrows his eyebrows at his thoughts.

"We're familiars, I don't know why I said sorry for him," Taehyung quickly signs out, smiling shyly and scratching his neck. He'll be dead meat if anyone finds out about their 'relationship' or whatever it is.

Bogum nods and turns to clean his table up a little. They will have a lesson, so he needs to get some homework done.

Taehyung sees that as his cue to leave, standing up.

"See you later, the guys are going to the mall around 3 pm, wanna join?" he asks.

"Yeah sure, I would love to," Bogum replies and smiles. They say goodbye to each other after arranging where to meet. Bogum's eyes follow the other as he leaves the room, watching him close the door behind him.

Jungkook and Taehyung? What do you make of that? Bogum frowns to himself, wondering what he missed. There's no way Taehyung should be acting protective against Jungkook, considering their 'status' in school. But that look Jungkook gave after the incident... what was that?

It's not like Taehyung deserves to be treated like he does, but it's just a part of nature that way. So why is there something telling him that there's more behind Jungkook and Taehyung's relationship than they show?

He gets a small sting in his stomach, not knowing if it's jealousy or curiosity. If they really have something going on, Bogum just got himself a rival. And on top of that, he would like to know how on earth two people this different are suddenly closer than anyone could have expected.

Bogum's curiosity got the best of him. He can't help but want to dig deep into this. A little afraid about what he might find.

"Listen, I didn't mean it like that..." Jungkook whines as he walks after Taehyung out in the school garden. The younger got asked by a teacher to go water some of the plants, not having time herself.

Taehyung quickly accepted, wanting to help. Yet now he regrets it since Jungkook saw him walk out there and has chosen to follow him around.

Taehyung ignores the elder, walking over to some roses and watering them too.

"You know, I'm going to keep following you until you pay attention to me," he adds. Taehyung slumps his shoulders and turns with an annoyed look on his face.
