Ziyi's POV
I hate hospitals. The place where you are either sad or happy. Nothing between. You can be born here and you can die in here or just being kept alive till the day your body says that's the end. Just like a factory which produce and fix, but as we all know there are things that cannot be fixed. They have to be thrown away. Sometimes with tears of millions, sometimes with tears of the closest, sometimes with smiles...or sometimes forgotten by everyone. Alone. Just some strangers doing their regular routine.
It's like a roller coaster ride in a really negative way. There are ups and downs...happiness followed by fear and desperation.
People here are like books...sometimes the end is obvious but sometimes you are kept in suspense untill the very last page.
"It shouldn't happen to him, you know...he was such a good person," Yanjun says with tears in his eyes and I hit the back of his head making sure no one noticed.
He rubs the place looking at me waiting for an explanation. "Don't talk about him like he's dead".
"But he almost died-"
"But he didn't".
"But we still don't know what will happen to him. You heard what doctor said to Mr. Fan...can you imagine how Nana will react? Because seriously I can't. This girl is unpredictable..." he states and I can't disagree with him.
That is why Xukun loves her so much...
And that's why we are here before her. To make sure police won't be needed in here. Nana is usually a stoic person and tries to control herself well...but when strong emotions build inside her...she is unstoppable. I mean she is like that all the time, but the Nana that is going to come in here is on a higher level.
"What are we going to tell her?" Yanjun asks holding his hair as if ripping them out was going to help us somehow.
"The truth," I answer simply. The are no more words needed. We can't lie. She would find out the truth sooner or later. It is better for her to be prepared.
Even though I know it's going to break my heart.
"She's here," Yanjun declares terrified as if his worst enemy just arrived to end him here and now. I can understand his fear. Nana is capable of many things and Yanjun is smart enough to know that.
Nana drags Qinjia who has been trying to calm her down probably all the way here but with no effect. Her confused teary eyes finally find me and she speeds up. Her brown long hair falls down behind her shoulders. Some of the strands glued to her face due to the amount of tears. Her make up almost gone. The black mascara covers her perfectly carved white cheeks.
"Nana...just keep calm-" Yanjun starts but the girl totally ignores him. Her hands grips my hoodie tightly as though her life depended on it. Her sky blue eyes looks right into mine and I don't know if I should stare back or glance away. The pain is hard to bear.
"Tell me what happened...where is he? I need to see him right now..." she says and tries to walk away but I catch her in my arms before she can go father.
"You can't do it now. The doctors are taking care of him-"
"But he will live right? He will...nothing bad can happen, right?" Nana asks full of hope but none of us is able to give her the answer. As she doesn't get one, she tries to get away but I bring her even closer so her body touches mine as my hands embrace her tiny figure. She's strong but not as strong as me, so the girl finally gives up after few moments of struggling. She just colapse in my arms with no strength to fight anymore and cries her heart out.
