IOWA'S POV
Matapos kong gamutin ang mga sugat ni Xen ay inaya ko s'yang tumambay sa balcony. Ayaw na n'ya kasing ituloy 'yong pagpunta namin sa sinasabi n'ya kaninang lugar dahil mas gusto na n'yang dito nalang kami sa bahay.
I drew a bottle of red Cabernet Sauvignon from my wine cellar and bring it with us to the balcony. I don't drink my special and imported wine with others. I want to enjoy it alone. But tonight is an exception. I wanna drink this precious wine with this precious piece of mud who weaken my heart.
Fresh night breeze welcomes us as we sat on a bamboo chair. Above is a silent observer, shining beautifully and making the night romantic. I noticed Xen, seriously staring at the moon. I didn't expect that he is also a selenophile. I finally found one of our common denominator.
"Hindi ko alam na mahilig ka rin palang tumitig sa buwan?" sabi ko sa kanya while pouring wine to our glasses.
"Hindi ko rin alam eh. I just appreciate the beauty of the moon recently when I saw a girl staring at it deeply." sagot n'ya habang iniaabot ko sa kanya ang wine glass.
"Is she beautiful?" marahang tanong ko. Baka isipin n'ya na nagseselos ako.
"Yeah, she's beautiful, just like the moon." seryosong sagot n'ya habang hindi pa rin inaalis ang mga mata sa buwan.
"Then why are you here? Bakit hindi s'ya 'yong niligawan mo?" kalmado pa rin, baka mahalata n'ya na nagseselos na talaga ako.
"Because she has already a man." sagot n'ya sabay inom ng wine.
"So, she's your first heartbreak?"
"Nope."
"Oh, so you didn't loved her? Just an infatuation?"
"At first, I thought those were all infatuation. But one day, I realized that it's not. So I made a move. And that's the best decision I ever made. Kung hindi siguro ako nag take ng risk, wala ako sa balcony na 'to ngayon. Kung nagpakatorpe siguro ako, I am not able to savor this moment with you." He said saka pinisil ang pisngi ko. Hindi pa s'ya nakontento at ginulo pa n'ya ang buhok ko.
He put his wine glass on the table and pulled me closer to him. He puts my head on his shoulder while doing a cafuné. I didn't expect that, that limerence I feel towards him will suddenly grow and foster into a true love.
Among all the decisions that I made before, loving him is the most risky. Yet, I'm very grateful that I took that risk because it makes my feelings innefable.
"Hey! Are you asleep?" pukaw n'ya sa nananahimik pero sobrang saya kong damdamin.
"Yeah." maikli kong tugon sa kanya.
"Tulog ampota pero sumasagot pa rin?"
