LOUNA'S POV

"Total number of poisoning cases reaches 3,000 in just 12 hours."

"China, Vietnam, Korea, and other Asian countries send their medical team to help PH doctors in containing the poisoning incident."

"Medical experts from Singapore conducted thorough research about the poisoning case in PH."

I just throw the newspaper back on the table then I to my kitchen. Even in this early morning, an ambulance cries continuously along the streets. The wee-woos never leave the thin air.

As the sound gets closer to my house, my curiosity gets stronger. So I peeked through my kitchen window. An ambulance stopped in front of that white-painted house and a man in white started to ring the doorbell. In just a few seconds, the gate opened and it disgorges a middle-aged woman with her husband behind. Both of them are vomiting blood. The medical team provides aid to the victims and brings them to the hospital right away.

I was left behind with a blank face.

Minutes pass by and another wee-woo occupied my ears. But this time, it's different from the ambulance. Hindi ko nalang iyon pinansin at nagpatuloy nalang ako sa pagluluto ng pancake. After a due length of time has elapsed, a series of knocks disturbed my door and caught my attention. I wonder who would it be at this very early.

"Sandali lang," I shouted from my kitchen. I continued pouring the maple syrup into my pancakes and bring it with me as I walk to the door.

"Good morning Miss Louna Flavianna Agustin," a uniformed policeman greeted as the other two stares at me.

"How could I say good morning too when I bumped into a police officer at this early?" I replied sarcastically. "Anyway, may I know what brings you here?" kalmadong sagot ko saka kumagat sa pancake na dala ko.

"We're sorry to disturb you but we just wanna ask you some questions regarding the alleged food poisoning that happened to the journalists who attended the press conference," he said as he hands me a letter.

"I don't need that." and I give the letter back to him. "I'll help with your investigation since I really have some tea to spill," I added. "Just give me five minutes. I can't go with you wearing this."

The officers then noticed that I'm just wearing a see-through nightgown. The one who greeted me stayed focused but the other two were obviously disturbed.

"Come in." I invited.

"Not necessary. We can wait here." the focused one answered.

"Okay," I replied as I look at the two officers.
