Jimin's POV -

It's 2am. I've been practicing the dance to my new solo for about 16 hours now. The other boys left ages ago, but I'm still here. There's this weird little flip right in the middle of the dance break, and, although it's the easiest flip I've ever had to complete, I don't feel good enough with it. I want something bigger, better, bolder. I'm going to keep practicing until I can do the most impressive flip the entire K-Pop industry has ever seen.

I turn into the flip, kicking my leg out so that I spin three times before nimbly catching myself on my toes, and turn back into the dance. In the mirror, I watch my reflection as I drip sweat everywhere, panting for breath. I can watch myself for pretty much the whole dance, but I can't see when I do the flip, unless I want to badly twist my neck. We've all seen how disastrous my neck injuries can be. It's stunts like these that caused the original injury when I was a young teenager, and now it still comes back to haunt me.

That's another reason why I need to practice. I need to get the flip precisely right, so I can't end up hurting my neck in any way. If I hurt it again, it means that I'll have to sit out of concerts again. I can't cope with that. I have to dance. I can't live without it.

Since I'm too out of breath to complete the dance again, I pull my phone out of my bag, switching it on. There's one message from Hoseok: 'Don't be back too late! Ring me if you need anything <3'. It was sent 4 hours ago, when the rest of the boys went home. I wait until my breath has calmed down, then set up the camera mode, setting it up on a wall mount so that it can record me.

I start the dance again. I hit each move as hard as I can, like I would if I were performing for ARMY. I feel the sweat pouring down my back, my line of passion, and attempt the flip with 4 spins this time. I land perfectly, and finish off the dance.

Once the music is turned off, I pick up my phone, shaking with adrenaline, and press play. I curl up against the mirror, watching every single move through, then I play the video again in slow motion, stopping at areas I feel need improving. I was only given this dance earlier today, so I expect there to be mistakes, therefore I don't feel down at just how many there are. I watch the flip in particular. The third and fourth spin are a little dodgy, and you can see I nearly lost my footing when I landed, but, once I get more practice in, it'll look fantastic.

Usually, I'm pretty hard on myself. I hate the way I look, and I always feel far from perfect, but, as I pack up my dance bag at nearly 3am, I can honestly say I'm really proud of myself. This comeback, I'm going to be perfect. I've put the effort in, and it's already starting to show. I am not an egotistical person, but, I really am happy with myself. I can't wait for the other boys to see it.

Silently, I open up my shared bedroom door. The room is dark, and I can hear Hoseok snoring softly. As quietly as I can, I put on my PJs, without my light on, so I won't disturb Hobi. He worked really hard today, learning new dances as well as teaching us, so I want him to sleep well, since we're up early in the morning again. However, I can't resist going over to him and give the top of his head a soft kiss. He remains undisturbed, and I head to my own bed. I'm going to be exhausted tomorrow, but it's completely worth it.

I stare up the ceiling, waiting for sleep to take me away. I question adding a fifth turn to the flip, but that will be pushing it.

Hoseok shakes me awake early in the morning. I whine, my eyes burning with lack of sleep, and pull the blanket over my head. He tugs it back down, giving me another soft shake. I can hear a weird noise, but I can't figure out what it is, not yet.
