Seokjin's POV -
I wake up with the most stinking cold you could imagine. As soon as I open my eyes, they begin to burn with irritation, and only one side of my nose is all blocked up. There's an odd taste in my mouth, and I feel strangely sick. I felt perfectly fine last night, which is odd.
I really hate getting a cold. They're irritating as fuck. Like, non-stop sniffling and feeling all tired and achy is just not my style. I always seem to have a cold nowadays. I can just never shake them off.
Oh, how did I only just realise just how much my bones ache? Wait, so does my throat, and a headache is burning at full fire behind my eyes. I groan, flopping back down into bed. My body shakes like I'm freezing, but my pyjamas stick to me with sweat. This might be more than a cold, actually. I think I have the flu.
Ah, the flu season in Korea. We're usually up to date with our vaccinations, but, with how busy we are, it's sometimes easy to get washed away. All of us missed our appointments, and now we can't make another. I'll have to isolate myself to stop the other boys from catching it off me. The flu in Korea is particularly dreadful. It's a really big killer here, and can make some very healthy people very sickly for the rest of their lives.
I have no fears about that. I can afford to pay for top end medication, thankfully, should I start to go downhill. I wish everyone could stay the same, but, no matter how much money I donate, the poverty line just seems to get bigger and bigger. I really don't miss being a part of it.
Luckily for me, we have the week off all schedules, as we have only just come back from our last world tour. We're getting a break to go see our family in a couple of months, but we have more things to record before we can go, so this is our only week free for now. I can just lie back in bed, and chill until this sickness passes.
I really do wish it could be that simple. I attempt to roll over, but the movement jarrs my stomach. I both gag and clench my ass at the same time. Oh, it's going to be one of those illnesses.
I rush to the bathroom as fast as my crossed legs and angry stomach will let me. I look at the toilet, agnoised, completely unsure of which end I should direct at. My stomach makes a loud gurgling sound, and I have no choice but to sit down.
As soon as the diarrhea starts, my stomach heaves again, and I quickly lean over the sink mid-shit to projectile vomit. There's no way I can do any of this quietly, and soon, there's a soft knock on the door. Jungkook peers his head around, his nose immediately crumpling up as he smells the wonderful aroma of my burning asshole and last night's half-digested dinner.
Jungkook is a soft soul. I would tell him to fuck off, since this isn't quite my proudest moment, if you wouldn't believe, and I don't quite appreciate the youngest of the group staring at me like I'm some fascinating museum piece.
He rests his hand gently on my shoulder. "Hyung, can I get you anything? Sickness meds?" He feels just how hot my skin is, and gently rests his hand on my forehead before I can throw up again. "You're burning up really bad. Poor hyung."
"Go away," I groan, resting my head against the sink. I think my hair is going in the vomit, but does it really matter? "You really don't want to catch this."
"But I can't just leave you like this. I'll be back now."
Jungkook pads out of the room, and thankfully, shuts the door behind him. I retch in peace, bringing up bile. There's nothing more I can throw up, and soon, there will be nothing left in my bowels, leaving me achingly empty. My body seems to be getting hotter as the seconds pass, and the headache is definitely turning into a migraine. Maybe it's just one of those 24 hour sickness bugs that seem to strike for no reason.
