Seokjin's Nevis Swing Accident

Seokjin's POV -

We're filming Bon Voyage this two weeks. We're in New Zealand, so it's actually winter here right now, but it's still hot, and I don't need a coat to get myself around. It's like, you need a jumper in the morning and evening, but in the afternoon it's too hot weather.

What I find funny is that there's snow on the ground wherever we go. The ponds are frozen, and the grass is stiff with frost. It gets so cold in the night for it to settle, but, in the day, it starts to melt, and it feels like spring is coming, then it snows again. It's only around 8 degrees out, which, usually in Korea, means it's time for coats and scarfs, but, somehow, in this climate, it just doesn't feel that bad.

The condo is beautiful, too. It sits out on a mountain range that has walking paths up it so you can go out and explore. The ground is quite gravelly, which means the frost doesn't settle properly, so it's easy to walk up them. Jungkook has already climbed up numerous times to throw snow down at Jimin and Taehyung. It does have a communal breakfast area, which I'm not so keen about, in case someone recognises us and gets in the way, but it's very clean, and the lady who owns the place is very lovely, and is patient with the lack of English most of us have.

There's dogs here too! A fluffy little cloud-like dog, and a little scraggy puppy. I don't know many dog breed names, but I know they're mutts. They belong to the lady who owns the place, but they're extremely friendly, and just want a fuss. The little white dog has been very keen on Jungkook so far, but the other prefers to have the sofa to itself.

We've had a huge schedule so far, so we haven't really had a lot of time to breathe. It's not like the rest of our Bon Voyages, where we did loads of water activities and restaurants and stuff, since the weather isn't good enough. Instead, so far, we've been doing a lot of hiking, and, earlier last week, we were going from place to place camping. We'll go back to camping again, but, for now, we're spending a couple of days at the condo. The barbecues were fun, but it was getting expensive.

However, today, we're doing a fun little activity. Well. I say activity. We're going to the Nevis Swing tourist attraction, which is a massive, bungee-jumping like swing that hangs over the gorge of the River Nevis. It has a massive fall, and the jumping platform is 134 metres tall.

Well, you can tell exactly who are shitting themselves. That's right: me and Hoseok. Even Jimin isn't as afraid as he used to be about heights, and Taehyung has gone silent about being afraid, since he doesn't like being teased. Jungkook, Namjoon, and Yoongi don't mind this sort of thing, even though they'll be nervous before they jump. It's just the way they roll.

You can have more than one person on the jump at once, so Hoseok and I have already decided that we should jump together, for moral support. Part of me wants to jump by myself, since Hoseok's screaming can be deafening, but I know he can't do it alone, and, as his hyung, it's my job to help him along. He'll enjoy it once he does it.

We line up outside before the lift, waiting for the directors to finish their introduction. The platform towers above us, and I can feel my tummy flip in anticipation. Hoseok stands next to me, shaking desperately. Jungkook, on the other side, can't keep still. I can see the excitement in his eyes from here.

There's space for all of us on the platform, so we all pile into the lift together, ready to cheer each other on. Jungkook is raring to go, jumping up on his toes repetitively with excitement. He'll probably jump first. Hoseok, on the other hand, has shrunk into the corner, his head bent a little. Jimin catches me looking at him, and uses his small body to slide between the members in the packed lift to comfort him. There's no space for the directors in the lift, so they'll wait for the next one, which means we're in our natural states.
