I hate when writers make their MC's do this. They've got an amazing love interest who loves the MC unconditionally and deep down, the MC knows this but she still chooses to act like a fool.

The MC would go any length just to prove that their love interest has no feelings towards them.

EVEN THOUGH IT'S BEYOND OBVIOUS THAT THEY DO.

And then when the love interest makes the slightest attempt to move on since his love isn't being reciprocated, the next thing is;

"I knew he never really cared about me. He just treated me like a toy."

Suddenly, it's his fault.

What the hell do you expect him to do? Wait around until you get over yourself? Time waits for no one hun.
