Chapter 31: The Great Echelons

Their voices echoed in my mind. Sandali akong nawindang sa mga sinabi ni Chrysler, at nang bumalik akong muli sa realidad ay una kong napansin ang pagiging maingay ni Greyson.

"Well, thanks to me and my birdie. We are all aware of what to aim." Greyson said with his playboy look. Manyak.

"Birdie your ass! Shut up!"

"He's a mad gangster."

"Babes naman, pinag aagawan niyo na naman ako." Ani Greyson.

They're fighting again. Halos lahat ata ay kaaway ni Greyson, siya lang naman kasi ang mapang-asar sa grupo which is also nakakagana dahil sa natural niyang pagiging maingay.

"Greyson Cullen, our primary defense. Of course he's the shield of our group, he has an eye with his eagle. Alam ko namang nakita mo nang lumipad ang tattoo niya sa leeg hindi ba?" Tumango ako sa tanong ni Chrysler. "Within his radius he can protect everything. Malakas ang pakiramdam niya, kaya naman alam niya kung paano niya tayo maisasangga sa panganib. Literal akong napanganga. Hindi ko na lubos maisip ang lahat, paano ko na iintindihin ang lahat ng 'to?

Nakangisi niyang sabi, nakatitig lamang ako sa kanyang mukha habang patuloy siya sa pagsalita.

I nodded.

I became mute for a sudden. I feel thankful to ask because I finally heard the answers, but I'm scared to ask again because I might cause trouble for another time. Okay na 'yon sa akin, wala na akong mahihiling pa. Ngunit kulang, hindi pa sapat ang kaalaman ko. May gusto pa akong malaman, kailangan ko 'yon at hindi ako matatahimik.

He caused me pain, but I wanna know about him too. I better not ask. Kumaway kaway si Chrysler sa harapan ko dahil sa sandali kong pagka tulala.

"I'm fine." Agad kong sagot. Is he even asking?

"You really fine?" Tanong niya. Napapikit ako sa hiya.

"How would I show respect to you then?" Mahina kong tanong, dinig ko ang paghalakhak niya.

"Lady, treat us the way we treat you." He smiled.

How would I even do that? I'm certainly a pauper lost in the palace, and now I have to look for the stones with these echelons in able for me to survive. I am a pauper with these silver echelons, and a golden mighty prince. I should address them properly at baka 'yon pa ang ikamatay ko.
