Kristin
"... I am Maria Kristin Garcia Villamor,
one of the owners and the head chef of this restaurant."
I saw how their face turned pale, most especially that bitch. It's good to know that I got the upper hand in this situation right now. I almost wanted to laugh at her face the way she did with me back then.
Worry no more, I'll let her feel that too.
"Have I made myself clear? Get your eyes checked."
It feels like somethings reversed. Shell turned to a wood? What happened to the 'Ms. Karell' that I knew?
I have the right time for that. The very right time.
She was about to speak but was interrupted by three other voices calling out to me. As happy I am seeing Karell's flushed face, these three people are more important.
"Maria." I turned and saw them, the sweetest people that I have in my life. As soon as I kissed both Aaron and Clark's cheek, another soft voice called me.
"Mama." She spoke sweetly and I went down on my knees and carried her. I can still hear the faint sounds of gasps nearby.
Life is full of surprises, right? What do they expect, walang pag babago? Thinking about that made me smirk. Almost everything had changed.
Sana tama ang ginawa mong desisyon noon Rod.
"C-clark? Please..." I heard Rod's voice, barely audible. Not after what they did. Pag bayaran muna nila ang ginawa nilang kasalanan at baka mapatawad pa namin sila.
I saw my son flinched at the touch of Rod and I saw how Aaron held my son's arm, showing his protective part. I smiled at that scene and to cut the conversation and the attention that we got, I spoke.
"If you'll excuse us. My family and I have better things to attend to. Please, enjoy your meal." I said calmly.
Their reaction spoke for them. How shocking, isn't it?
At last, I got a chance to prove them wrong. All those sufferings will be worth it.
They should be happy at pinalagpas ko ang pagkikita naming iyon dahil sa susunod sisiguraduhin kong hindi lang gano'n ang aabutin nila.
I'll take it slow and enjoy every moment while it lasts. Long years and here I am, not afraid of anything they'll throw at me. Handang handa na akong lumaban sakanila.
Dumiretso kami nila Aaron sa loob ng office ko sa restaurant, we also made our orders to be served here. I didn't want my family to feel uncomfortable.
"Mama, what happened back there?" I turned my gaze to the person who called me 'mama.'
She is our sweetest Sofia Kresia Villamor.
"Nothing, honey." I smiled to assure her that everything is fine, no harm done and all is well.
"Okay mama, I love you." She hugged me and kissed my cheek, how sweet.
"I love you too, honey." Then, my eyes shifted to my son sitting across me. He is being comforted by Aaron from what happened earlier.
He knew about Clark's dad and the damaged that Rod caused. I'm glad that he always had my back in times of distress.
Of course, our baby girl came first to speak. She's very bubbly and talkative just like Clark when he was still a kid.
She shared about how she misses us, toys, unicorns, foods, and princesses. Halos wala na ngang katapusan ang pag kwento niya eh but eventually she said she's too tired to talk which made us laugh.
The laughter doubled as we shared jokes and made fun of each others funny moments.
How I wish, it would always be like this. Just positivity roaming around but I knew for sure that sooner or later, we need to face our realities.
A reality that often feels like an illusion. The feeling of nothing and everything at the same time. It's frustrating, I can't fix my thoughts.
"Maria, ayos ka lang ba?" Nawala lahat ng agam agam ko sa tanong na iyon. Tinignan ko si Aaron ng puno ng galak sa mga mata.
Aaron our savior from the life we left.
"Oo naman, nandito kayo eh." Humarap ako at ngumiti sakaniya. Maramdaman ko ang pag pisil niya sa kanang kamay ko and as a response I held his hand tighter.
Rod made his choice before. Lahat ng ginawa niya na pananakit, pang-iiwan, pagpili at pag papalit sa amin ay kaniyang buong desisyon at ngayon, it is my turn to make choices and decisions.
Hindi ko alam na sa lahat ng pinagdaanan ko dati darating sa punto na sobrang marami ang magbabago sa akin just like attitude and maturity. Maybe, I was just a late bloomer but I felt it, the power of change.
