Jen's pov:
Those deep-set grey eyes gazed back at me with disinterest. A series of butterflies in my stomach traveled to my heart making it swell in an unknown feeling.
A nervous shiver ran down my body. Which was taken in interest by the eyes that held me captive on my place; where I stood gazing back at him unflinching. His long eyelashes almost touched his pale cheeks. My eyes traveled downwards without any hesitation to the bridge of his straight nose to the high cheekbones and finally down his to his full lips. My eyes flew upwards again with the breath I took to steady myself.
The man in the uniform narrowed his eyes, bringing my attention to the scar that cut through his left eye. The scarred face did not make him ugly no. He sure lived up to his reputation of being handsome.
Captain, I though startled.
Everything about him took my breath away whether it was his dark brown hair, his intimidating eyes, or his lips. I backed away a step or two, only to bend my legs on something. With a yelp, I almost fell downwards. Two arms steadied me from behind, undoubtedly of Ralph's.
It was Captain's turn to check me out then, his gaze slid up and down on me but not the way mine had. His gaze slid down on me like a security checkpoint camera. His eyes no matter how wonderful they looked, were covered with a blanket of no emotion.
It was that day perhaps when I decided to conjure a strong emotion in them. How would I know? I was simply charmed by the wonderful sight.
''Watch where you go. People are not on vacation here unlike you. Or are you blind?" His rude comment was enough to land me back on the earth.
"How...how dare you?'' I replied shocked, handsome or not, no one talks to me like that.
''It would be better if you stand aside and let the other people pass, rather than drooling around" He said and walked off.
No, let me explain that again. He walked off by pushing against my shoulder in a hard jerk. I scowled in surprise, Ralph knowing about my lack of temper control, opened his mouth and stopped me in the middle but I had already made my mind.
"If I was drooling then why didn't you walk away from the side Mr. ?'' I exclaimed pointing at the large path empty besides us. Ralph frowned, shaking his head in disapproval.
Cruel Captain stopped in his tracks with his back to us. I continued, "You stood there for a long period to watch me drool?"
"Be sure to taste your words, before spitting them out...Ms. Jen. I don't like indulging myself in senseless conversations'' His velvety voice rang in my ears.
"Jen I appreciate your feistiness baby, one of the many things I like about you. But I think it's just not very smart to get involved with that guy" Ralph said chuckling nervously when the Captain marched away from us.
