Jen's pov:
My sleepy eyes opened because of the blinding rays of the sun. The room was not that posh for a famous male model and ahead of a famous Fashion agency but we can't expect much from a secret agency headquarters.
The thing that we were calling bed from the night before is just a comfortable mattress covered with a silk duvet on the floor. Ralph was still asleep beside me, his face glowing in the sun. To our left, the door opened to the balcony to the most boring view. It opened to grassland with a training ground which was surrounded by strange empty unconstructed buildings.
Yawning, I got up from the mattress and walked to the bathroom. My hair looked a mess. Ugh! They can perfectly be considered in the chicken nest category. For a moment, I thought of walking to the Disciplinary Action book's (wherever that is. Not that I am even slightly interested to find that out) room, just to see how annoyed he would get.
Wearing simple black jeans and a blue top after the shower, I walked out to find the room empty.
"Gosh, that pig!" I muttered scowling, feeling a little hurt and grateful by the gesture. More grateful than hurt though. At least no awkward conversation will follow if he remembers. I can bet a million that he doesn't.
I combed through my wavy hairs, ignoring the ringing of the phone on the side stand. But when it continued to ring for a long time, I picked it up. I had given clear instructions to my workers not to call me early in the morning. It's the only time of the day, I can relax and drink my coffee in silence.
"Hello," I said.
"Mam, I am sorry...it was quite urgent" My assistant Suzy replied in a squeaky voice from the other side.
"What is it, dimwit?" I asked frustrated.
Yeah, yeah I am a little rough on her but it didn't help when she is always gazing at Ralph all the time.
"She is causing trouble again" Suzy replied in a slow voice. My brows furrowed and I took a deep breath to steady myself.
No, I can't let this witch get to me again, I thought.
"Hello? Hello?"
"Wait," I said harshly on the phone. I can imagine her scowling on her phone, it brought me some satisfaction. I counted backward from ten to zero.
"Get her on the line"
"Okay?" Suzy said unsurely but I already know she is handing the phone to bit- ....witch.
"Oh God, where are you? These dresses are lame. My beauty is not reflecting properly in them. And my makeup artist is on holiday!!! Can you believe this!" A highly irritating voice ranted on the phone.
I slid the phone a little away from my precious ear, already regretting the decision to hear her out.
Now that's Alissa Trainor, the leading female model of our agency and we'll-established actress.
