Jen's pov:

"Smart mouth where are you right now?" A demanding cool voice asked me from the other side. I held the phone away from my ear in confusion and looked around the hotel lobby.

"Why are you asking that?" I asked bitterly. Captain sighed on the other end as if already bored by my questions.

"I need a favor" The phone slipped from my hand and I caught it before it could dropdown.

I looked at the device with a suspicion-filled gaze. Did he just say he needs a favor? Have I lost my hearing ability? Or am I too delusional nowadays? Probably the latter.

"What? I didn't hear you" I replied loudly in the speaker. Captain cursed on the other end.

"Stop shouting" He whispered with an embarrassed sort of voice.

"Sorry I still can't hear you though" I shouted purposefully a little louder this time.

Did I mention I am angry with him? How can he even call me right now? The nerve of this man!

"If there is nothing else to say, I will end our precious call here. And Captain?"

"Yes?" He said in a soft tone. What is he trying to do? You can't manipulate me by lowering your sexy voice Captain!

"Don't call me again" I completed with a smirk and disconnected the call.

Placing a hand on my heart, I took in a few steadying breaths. Why did he call me? What does this mean? How can he play with my feelings like a basketball? And the worse thing is that I feel guilty for disconnecting the call now.

Captain Cruel...what have you done with my peaceful life? It feels like I am a ping pong ball, with no sense of direction. Only if you could have held my hand that day...pity. You won't find someone like me again.

I looked around again, 'where has Suzy gone off to? I want to go and take a warm breath in my room' I thought.

Suzy came running at the exact moment. Her expression is similar to that of an incredibly worried person. Her complexion was covered in sweat. She pushed her glasses against her nose, a habit she has had for a long time now.

"Boss!"

"What happened? Why are you so worked up?" I passed her the un-drunken cup of my water. She gulped it down nervously.

"Aliss... Alissa" She huffed out, breathing heavily.

"For the love of ice cream, what has she done now?" I asked, annoyed.

"She is nowhere in the whole hotel! She has been absent for 2 hours straight. Usually, she would have been complaining about the poor air conditioning or trying to change her next shoot schedule. But she hasn't caused any trouble for more than 2 hours!"

"Uh-oh. That's a problem" I  immediately stood up from my place in interest.

This airhead, where has she gone?!
