Secrets Revealed

Chapter 22

The song doesn't have anything to do with this chapter but it will have something to do in a future episode. ~~

"Alright! Up and at 'em, Remmy!" Nova shouted as she burst through his bedroom door after not finding him around the house. "We've got places to be and a relic to find! Chop chop!"

Remus grumbled and rolled over so that he was facing away from Nova. 

"Oh, really." Nova raised and eyebrow. "You wanna play that game now, don't you? Whelp. You asked for it."

And with that Nova went over and started to poke Remus in the face.  (A/N Don't you hate it when siblings do that to wake you up. So infuriating...) 

"Nova! Cut it out! The relics can wait another hour." Remus mumbled into his pillow. Nova stood back up and put her hands on her hips.

"Oh no. I gave you an extra three hours of sleep." She narrowed her eyes and quickly decided on a course of action.

She walked up to the bed and gripped the blankets. She yanked hard, but she didn't expect Remus to be so entangled in the blankets that he would crash into her. Now they were both on the floor.

Remus sat up and glared at his sister. Who, in return, held her hands up in mock surrender with a goofy smile on her face.

"You're lucky I love you." He ground out and stood up, offering a hand to her. She gladly took it and he pulled her back up.

"What smells so good?" Remus questioned and Nova smirked.

"Chocolate chip pancakes. Mom's special recipe." She said as she watched his eyes widen. He pushed her out of the room so he could get dressed and she went back downstairs to set the table.

"Well, that certainly got you up. Does this mean I'm forgiven? I wouldn't have wanted them to get cold before we could eat them!" Nova smiled innocently as he sat down at the table and grabbed some pancakes.

"Sure. Whatever, Nova. Never do that again. I feel like I'm back in the dormitories." He chuckled remembering all the times Nova and Astra had awoken the boys in a similar manner each morning so they would eat breakfast with them.

"Now, now. Is that such a bad thing? The dormitories were fun!" Nova exclaimed and Remus laughed. 

"That they were." He smiled. And returned back to his breakfast.

"Alright! We're all packed and ready to go. Time to catch the knight bus to Nepal." Nova exclaimed and Remus gave her a quizzical look.

"Why Nepal in particular?" He asked as he shrugged on his coat. Nova put her long shawl over her travelling clothes and turned to face him.

"Well, that was the last place I had tracked them to. The Himalaya's more specifically." Nova said casually. "They are likely to have found a home on the most difficult mountain to climb. That would give them the privacy they needed to be themselves and humans can not get to their village so easily. Come along now. We'll catch the knight bus. That'll take us to the London airport. Which I bought our tickets to Nepal the other day. We have an hour before take off. It will be around a twenty hour flight. Then we will embark on our climb up the mountain and look for a well secluded area. That will be where they have taken up residence."

Remus looked at his sister dumbfounded.

"Just exactly how long have you been planning this?" He asked her as she paced about. Mumbling to herself as she packed last minute things into their backpacks and satchels.

She looked him dead in the eye and said, "Christmas." Then she proceeded to walk out the door and to the street.

Remus sighed and followed her. She stuck out her wand and in a flash the knight bus had arrived. 

"Hello there. 11 sickles each." The ticket man said. Nova payed him the respective amount and he pocketed it. "Where to?"

"The London airport, please." Nova replied politely and he nodded and showed them aboard.

"Take it away, Ernie!" He called out to the driver. What appeared shrunken head woke up the sleeping driver.

"Yeah, Ernie! Take it away!" It exclaimed and Ernie jumped awake, took a bite of his sandwich, and started driving.

Nova and Remus stayed silent during their travel to the London airport. When they got off they thanked the driver and made their way into the airport. After they bypassed security, they went to the check-in counter, where a woman who looked about the same age as them stood. Her auburn hair was up in a tight bun and her uniform looked pristine. The name tag on the uniform held the name Autumn.

"Hello! What can I help you with?" She greeted with a smile.

"We'd like to get our boarding passes, please." Nova smiled back and passed their tickets over to her.

Autumn read them over and did what she had to. She gave them their boarding passes and grinned brightly.

"So, Nepal? Not very big fans of summer, are you?" She asked curiously and tried to make conversation. You noticed traffic was slow, so she was probably bored out of her mind.

"Well, I wouldn't say that. We just figured it would be fun to travel somewhere this year instead of just lounging around at home!" Nova laughed and took the boarding passes from Autumn's outstretched hand.

"Oh? Are you going for a little couple time?" She asked and Nova and Remus confusedly look to each other.

"Um... no." Remus cleared his throat and said quietly. "Nova here is my sister."

"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to assume! Y-you guys just look so different and your last names were the same..." Autumn apologized. Her face was beet red from embarrassment.

"That's all right! We get that a lot! It probably doesn't help that I look so different and don't share a single physical feature!" Nova chuckled brightly. "The name's Nova! And this is my brother, Remus."

"It's nice to meet the both of you! Your flight will be leaving in twenty minutes. They will be boarding in another five." Autumn informs them, recovering from her earlier embarrassment. "I hope you have safe travels!"

"Thank you! Have a wonderful day!" Nova called back and they started to make their way toward the correct terminal.

"First the students. Now muggles! What else is next?" Remus exclaimed with and exasperated sigh.

"Ordinary wizarding folk." Nova whispered playfully into his ear. "Centaurs, shifters, vampires, mer-"

She was cut off when she tripped. She regained her footing and looked to Remus with a glare while he looked away. But not before she caught a glimpse of satisfaction.
