Secrets Revealed

Chapter 3

"That's for not talking to me for thirteen years." Nova hissed before pulling Remus into a tight hug.

"I'm sorry." He whispered back guiltily and returned the hug.

"I know." Nova whispered back with a smirk. "Like always."

"Excuse me, sorry to break up the moment, but who are you?" A red haired boy suddenly asked.

"Oh yes. I apologize. I'm Professor Nova Lupin. Nice to meet you. And yourselves?" Nova chuckled.

"My name's Hermione Granger." A girl with brown bushy hair and kind eyes replied with a smile.

"I'm Ron." The ginger says. Nova looked at him for a moment longer before coming to a realization.

"Are you related to Ginny?" She inquired when she noticed the familiar features the boy had.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" Ron asked Nova skeptically.

"I met your sister earlier. We shared a compartment until some blonde stuck his head in and told me Harry fainted and some insane Professor thought chocolate would make the situation better." Nova replied as she smiled and gave Remus a pointed look.

"Don't look at me like that! You most likely gave Ms.Weasley and her friends chocolate, too!" He exclaimed accusingly. "And I'd be more than willing to bet ten galleons that you still have a bar in your pocket!"

"Right you are." Nova responded sheepishly and pulled the respective bar of chocolate and ten galleons out of her pocket before handing them over. " And you must be Harry!"

"Don't you go changing the subject!" Remus exclaimed a bit louder this time.

"I'm sorry, but are you two together or something?" Ron asked, looking quite confused.

Remus and Nova looked at each other and then back at the teenagers. All was silent for a few moments until the two burst out laughing.

"Me and him?!" Nova exclaimed through her giggles.

"It's just- you have the same last name." Ron tried to explain.

"Well," Nova starts as she represses the giggling fit, "I'm adopted and he's stupid."

"What Nova said." Remus nodded. The teens chuckle a bit as Nova stood there with a triumphant smirk on her face. She held up a hand and started counting down on her find=gers ad she waited for her words the sink in. "Five... Four... Three... Two... One..."

"Hey!" Remus exclaimed.

A few hours later, Nova had since fallen asleep and Remus was currently conversing with the trio in the compartment. That was until a knock on the wood interrupted the steady flow of conversation. The door slid open to reveal a small girl with red hair with features similar to Ron. Remus concluded that this must be the youngest Weasley, Ginny.

"I'm sorry, but is Ron in here?" The young girl asked.

"Yes. What do you need, Ginny?" Ron inquired as he glanced at his younger sister.

"I just decided to come and check on you because of, you know, the dementors." Ginny mumbled reluctantly.

"Oh. I'm fine. So are the others." Ron replied quickly. Ginny glanced around the compartment for a moment before her eyes landed on Nova.

"Oh, so this is where she ran off to." She said.

"Yes," Remus pipes up, "I'm afraid that's my fault. She figured I was on the train."

"Who are you?" Ginny asked the brunette curiously.

"I'm your new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Professor Lupin." Remus informed her.

The girl's eyebrows knit together in confusion for a moment as she glanced between the new professors. "Are you two related?"

"Yes, she's my younger sister. " Remus replied as Nova shifted in her sleep. He glanced out the window and saw a familiar looming form come into view. "I see Hogwarts. You should all get changed into your robes seeing as you haven't already."

"Oh my! You're right! Goodbye everybody!" Ginny exclaimed as she quickly scurried off to get changed.

"See you later, Ginny!" Hermione called after the red headed girl as the compartment door closed behind her.

Remus sighed as he looked towards Nova. Now for the worst part of the trip.

"You lot should go get changed now. I'll wake Nova up." Remus bowed his head solemnly as they left. Leaving him alone with the hibernating woman in the compartment.

Not me realizing I had written most chapters in 1st person point of view. Then coming to find out that somewhere along the ling I had switched to 3rd person. *cringes* There's so much to be fix up lol.
