She doesn't really have any of those in-depth reasons or personal reasons why she decided to become a Doctor. Most of her colleagues would have those kinds of reasons, but she doesn't. And when people asked her about it, most of the time she would shrug the question of by saying she's doing it because she wants it. It's true enough that she wanted to help people regardless of their status. But there is another reason behind it.

It's because of the boy who told her she should be a Doctor.

Sakura was driving home, her favourite song blasting from the speaker as she let the window of her car wide open for the night breeze to flow freely. She was humming along with the song when she felt her phone vibrated.

She turned the radio off and plugged in one of her ear bud as a voice of a woman came in a rush.

"Doctor Haruno, there's an emergency!"

Sakura has been used to this kind of things. There are times when she would be sleeping in her bed and her phone would vibrate, she would rush to the hospital half asleep.

Looking in the rear view mirror, Sakura turned the wheel and stepped on the gas, hastening back to the Hospital.

Once outside the hospital, Sakura instantly took her coat and wore it as she run inside.

"Where's the patient?" she asked when a nurse run towards her.

"This way Doctor."

The two run towards the emergency room where a man was lying, crimson blood gushing out everywhere. Sakura instantly cut open his shirt.

"Check the blood pressure."

"Doctor, there's no pulse."

Sakura snapped her head and went on to give cpr, pumping his chest while she counts.

"Come on," she said as she practically hovered over the man, not caring if her white lab coat was stained by blood.

Sweat started to form on her forehead as her hair stick on her neck. Slowly, Sakura's hands slowed down as the reality dawned on her.

She stopped to catch her breath, heart pounding in her chest as she stood beside the bed. She lift her hand and looked at her wristwatch. "Time of..." she trailed off, not really able to finish the statement as one of the nurses decided to announce the time of death.

Sakura walked outside, rubbing her forehead as she took off her coat that was drenched in blood.

It's not like it's the first time this ever happened. But it rarely ever does. And when things like this did happen, Sakura always felt a strange emotion as if a brick fell upon her. She was supposed to be saving lives but to fail in doing so always make her feel depressed. She still hasn't gotten used to it. It's impossible to save every patients, at one point things like this will occur. She just has to move on and go back to work tomorrow to tend on other patients.
