A/n: I guess everyone was sad because of Chapter 27 and 28. Even I felt sad while writing them. As a compensation, from here onward, there will be lots and lots of SasuSaku scenes together (and the long awaited lemonade/s will be coming real soon) (。•̀ᴗ-)✧

For the first time, Sasuke had a dream. It was not a nightmare he constantly had before. This time he was sure it was a dream. A dream about the past, his mind replaying so many memories all at once.
But when he woke up, the dream vanished almost instantly and Sasuke was left to question whether he had a dream to begin with.
He stirred and slowly opened his eyes, between the curtains were dimly lit rays coming from outside. Sasuke guessed it has only been a few hours and the dawn had barely crept, yet he felt like he's been asleep the whole day. But he couldn't really tell for sure.
Sasuke grunted when he felt a slight ache from his body. His chest and torso were bare and covered in bandages. Other than the dull pain that is beginning to subside, Sasuke doesn't feel any less horrible physically.
He felt the emptiness next to him and heard the shower running from the adjacent bathroom. Sasuke sat up and put his hands on his face, sighing as he recollected his thoughts. It was then he noticed the IV sticking on his hand and when he looked at the digital clock on the bedside, he saw the numbers that displayed the date, 01-02.
Sasuke didn't hear the shower being turned off until he saw Sakura emerging from the adjacent bathroom wearing a simple sweater that went down her thighs.
"Sasuke-kun, you're awake," she said as she walked towards the bed and stood on the side, checking the IV in the bag as Sasuke watched her.
"You were asleep for almost a day and a half so I had to put IV fluids to avoid dehydration."
As Sasuke listened to her, he couldn't help but think how much she sounds like a Doctor. Sakura walked towards him, sitting beside on the bed as she put a gauze on his hand and carefully removed the PIV by pulling the catheter out from the vein.
Sasuke watched as Sakura stood and went to the bedside table where his eyes landed on the white paper resting on it.
"Sakura," he called. "Did you read the letter?"
Sakura visibly stiffen as she looked on the letter Itachi wrote that was now placed on the bedside table. She knew how much inappropriate reading someone else's letter is and Sakura felt quite embarrass to admit.
"I...didn't mean to. It's just that, Aoda gave me the letter last night. He said I should keep it and give it to you once you woke up. I didn't mean to skim its content. I'm sorry." Sakura finished her short explanation, looking down as she fidgeted her fingers.
There was silence for a second, and it didn't exactly help the gnawing anxiety Sakura is starting to feel creeping out behind her. Is Sasuke mad? She doesn't even want to look him in the eye yet just to see him glaring at her.
But when she felt a hand on her chin, urging her to look up, Sakura saw Sasuke wasn't glaring and he doesn't even look any mad.
"It's fine. I was going to let you read it anyway."
