Sakura stirred in her sleep. It's been two days since she started sharing the bedroom with Sasuke, and fortunately, all they did was sleep. But Sakura suddenly woke up in the middle of the night. It wasn't her first time waking up at such an ungodly hour, being a Doctor, she was used to waking up at midnight to attend to some operation or emergency. But now, it was neither and Sakura just simply woke up.
However, judging from her heart that was beating fast and her forehead slightly covered in sweat, she must have woke up from a dream or a nightmare. But she really couldn't remember. She has been rather insomniac and Sakura felt like drinking a glass of wine, maybe she could sneak from Sasuke and go downstairs.
Sakura slowly turned around but frown almost instantly when she didn't see Sasuke. Sitting up, Sakura put her hand on the side of the bed and felt it was still warm. She stood up and was about to turn towards the door when it suddenly opened and Sasuke walked in scaring the crap out of Sakura as she almost jumped and gasped loudly.
"Sasuke-kun, what are you doing there?" Sakura asked, hand on her chest as she calmed her heartbeat from the sudden surprise.
Sasuke blinked and looked at her. "Why aren't you asleep?" Sasuke was sure she was sound asleep when he went out earlier.
"I was going downstairs to drink some water," Sakura said, of course not entirely lying. But not telling the truth either.
"What about you, Sasuke-kun? Where have you been?"
Sasuke walked inside and passed Sakura. "I went outside in the garden."
Sakura could smell the faint scent of cigar when Sasuke walked past her. He went towards the bed and took the bottle of whiskey from the cabinet and two glasses, offering one to Sakura.
"You weren't really going downstairs to drink water, are you?"
Sakura raised her eyebrows and shook her head but she walked towards Sasuke and took the glass nonetheless. She watched him pour her glass a small amount before pouring the liquor on his glass. As Sakura took a small sip, Sasuke downed the content in a gulp. He instantly had a deep frown when he felt his throat sting followed by a burn.
"Sasuke-kun," Sakura said, watching as he poured another glass. "Are you worried about something?"
Sasuke's hand stopped halfway as he looked at her before he slowly put down the glass on the bedside table.
"You know," Sakura said, rubbing her thumb in circle on the cold glass. "You can tell me anything Sasuke-kun, sharing your problem to someone you trust is a good thing."
Is it? Sasuke thought. He really didn't know, ever since he could remember, he never really shared anything to anyone except his mother. Not to his father, not to his brother. But Sasuke's mother always told him to do the things that Sasuke think is right and he thought it was right not to share your problems to anyone. They could use it against him.
But Itachi's letter reminded him not to shoulder everything alone.
"Besides, worrying is like carrying an umbrella waiting for it rain when you could dance under the rain when it does pour."
Sasuke felt a slight upturn on the side of his lips. "That's one way to put it. But I'm not particularly worried. It's more like I can't decide."
Sakura watched as Sasuke pulled the sheet and lie on the bed. Downing the content in the glass, Sakura followed and lie on the bed as well, but as she found a comfortable spot, she was suddenly pulled and her face landed on a chest-Sasuke's chest as he snaked his arm around her waist.
