Sasuke doesn't know how things turned out after that. He was so serious when he said that statement, not wanting to prolong the fact that he is a Yakuza because sooner or later Sakura's parents are bound to know, Sasuke just simply chose the sooner. And when he did tell them, Sasuke was convince he is not good in predicting things anymore.
"Sakura," he said once Sakura's parents left with Aoda driving them to the penthouse that Sasuke owned for them to stay for as long as they want.
"What is it, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura asked, averting her eyes from the driveway and looking at Sasuke.
"Why is your dad like that?" Sasuke could still hear how her father laughed when Sasuke stated that he was a Yakuza boss. But the laugh wasn't anything annoying, in fact Sasuke couldn't bring himself to get irritated.
Sakura chuckled silently as she shook her head. "He's just that kind of person. He's outgoing and almost always never take things seriously. But don't worry, Sasuke-kun, what my parents said were what they really feel."
Sasuke also remembered how, after that laughing fit Sakura's father gave him, did he finally told him the words that Sasuke wanted to hear.
I trust you, was what he said. He trust Sasuke to take care of their only daughter and Sasuke would do everything in his power to do just that. Sakura protected him once with Omerta and since then Sasuke swore to protect her with his life. He never exactly grasped the idea of marriage yet, but from what little memory he had left of his parents spending time together, he had seen quite some things that proved just how much his father loved his mother. But he was a kid then, never really fully comprehending those small gestures of affection. But now Sasuke knew those small gestures of affection meant a lot to them as a couple.
"Let's get inside Sasuke-kun, it's getting cold," Sakura said, pulling Sasuke out of his little reverie as he followed Sakura inside.
Once they were inside the bedroom, the cozy atmosphere was completely in contrast with the coldness outside as Sakura sighed and dive straight on the bed, burying her face on the comforter as she heard Sasuke's footsteps fading into the walk-in closet before he walked back a few minutes later and Sakura felt the bed dipped as Sasuke sat on the side. Sakura looked up and noticed that he was pouring himself a glass of whiskey.
"Want a glass?" Sasuke asked, handing the glass he was holding to Sakura as he poured himself another one. Sakura scooted closer as she leaned in on Sasuke's shoulder, finding the right spot as she took a sip of the liquor.
"There's no turning back now Sasuke-kun," Sakura said as she downed the liquor.
"What do you mean?"
"The engagement, there's no turning back now since you already met my parents," Sakura answered as she put the glass on the bedside table.
But when she sat back, she felt a hand yanked her down and Sakura's back hit the bed as Sasuke hovered above, a playful glare smirk on his face.
"Don't take me for someone who backs away at something."
Sakura matched his smirk as she wrap her legs around his hips and switched their position swiftly, with Sasuke's back hitting the bed.
"And don't take me for someone who can easily be pinned down, Sasuke-kun," Sakura whispered, a look of triumph on her pretty face.
Sasuke's smirk did not falter as he looked up. "I never really take you for someone who would seduce her man."
