Uchiha Sarada has soften the hearts of yakuza members. It was no doubt that the little Uchiha has been treated as a princess ever since she was born. As the first-born, everyone is excited to watch her grow up and see who she will take after.
"Her appearance is no doubt from Sasuke-sama," Aoda said, putting his hand under his chin as he squinted his eyes to look at the baby resting on the bassinet.
"But I believe her personality would be like Sakura-sama, I can see it in her eyes. She'd grow to be a tough girl."
Sasuke, who was sitting on the couch with his arms crossed and had been looking at Aoda for a few minutes now, seemingly not interested with how Aoda seem to act in front of the baby.
"To think that it's been more than two decades since we have a little toddler running up the halls of this household, buck naked refusing to wear his clothes."
Sasuke finally had an expression written on his face. His eyebrows knitted as he glared at Aoda. "Buck nak–, you're not supposed to be talking about me, are you?"
Aoda sighed as he closed his eyes and nodded. "Yes, Sasuke-sama, I was talking about you. Running down the halls. Ah, the good old days when Itachi-sa–"
Aoda was able to stop himself before he could finish that statement. It's also been a while since they talked about Itachi. After all the happy events that occured in the past months, somehow the wound of sadness has slowly healed. And with a new addition to the family, Sasuke was able to forget the sadness of that day. He's been too preoccupied to even think about his parents and brother who passed on.
Even Sarada somehow sensed the heavy atmosphere that suddenly engulfed them as she looked at her father curiously.
Aoda cleared his throat and bowed his head as he kneeled in front of the baby who was in her bassinet.
"I shall devote myself and serve you with my life, Sarada-sama," he said as if a knight pledging his life to an Imperial Majesty.
Sarada just looked at him with that big onyx eyes, sucking on her fingers at the same time. She does not understand a word Aoda just said but it seem like she was trying to understand by looking and focusing at him.
"Stop it with your nonsense Aoda," Sasuke said, taking the baby from her bassinet as she quickly wrapped her little fingers on Sasuke's shirt.
"You've been acting like that for a few days now, stop it." Sasuke looked at the baby before he sat back on the couch and leaned on the headrest. "Don't listen to that old man."
"Old–" Aoda cleared his throat again. "Sasuke-sama, I'm not that old. In fact I'm young enough to take care of another Uchiha toddler."
"Shut up, you're old. You've been here ever since I was a kid."
Sasuke took the baby and raise her up as he leaned on the couch. The baby wiggled her little arms and then she giggled. Sasuke thought she likes it when he does that and her giggles somehow alleviate his exhaustion.
"I'll take my leave now, Sasuke-sama," Aoda said as Sasuke nodded. Before he left, he looked at the two on the couch and the side of his lips turn up in a smile.
"Maybe it's time to visit their memorial," Aoda said before turning a corner.
Sasuke sighed and put the baby down and rested her on his chest. The baby seem to feel his exhaustion as she lay her head on his chest and snuggled closer. Sasuke woke up the night before and saw Sakura with the baby. He doubt if she even get at least three hours of sleep. Judging by the fact that Sakura has been asleep until now. Sasuke closed his eyes and relaxed, his hand supporting the baby as she too fell asleep.
