The storm had pass through Tokyo and the sky had gone back to its vibrant blue as the sun made its glorious return. Sakura sat in the back seat with Sasuke as Jugo drive the car towards Kyoto. Sakura was glad that Jugo has recovered after she heard about what happened to him a few months ago and although Sakura thanked him numerous times, the man was still as indifferent as usual saying it was his duty to watch after her and failed. When Sakura asked why Aoda wasn't the one driving them, Sasuke said he was taking care of something, a matter that Sakura shouldn't concern herself with since it's as insignificant as a pebble on the road. But Sasuke left it to Aoda so it might be important but Sakura doesn't want to pry more.
After hours of driving they arrived at the memorial in Kyoto, and just like before Sakura found herself feeling a sense of peace in the quietness of the place.
They first offered their prayers as they stood before their memorial and the stillness of the surroundings made it all the more serene as Sakura opened her eyes first before she looked at Sasuke who still has his eyes close, getting to admire him for a short while before he too opened his eyes.
"What?" Sasuke asked, the side of his lips turning up slightly as he raise his eyebrow questioningly.
"Nothing, I was just curious about what you told them." Sakura averted her eyes and looked at the memorial.
"I told them how thankful I am that their son is always by my side and that I would take care of him always," Sakura said. She may not be able to meet them but she know they were looking after them and Sakura did meet Sasuke's brother once and he was the one who told her to stay by Sasuke's side.
Sasuke could almost see through her and he could almost hear what she was thinking as she looked at his parents memorial. And the thought that they wouldn't be able to meet Sakura and their grandchild, the thought was almost saddening that Sasuke could feel a slight melancholy but it was gone the moment Sakura looked at him, with that reassuring smile that she always has but she just wasn't aware.
"I told them," Sasuke started before he looked at the memorial. "I told them that their son is well taken care of and that they don't have to worry because he has a caring and strong woman beside him."
Sasuke averted his eyes and the smile was still evident on Sakura that it almost influenced him when Sasuke felt the sides of his lips lifting up.
"Let's go back," Sasuke said after a while, taking Sakura's hand as they walked outside.
But once they were outside the memorial, they noticed an unfamiliar sleek black car and standing outside was a man wearing an equally tailored black suit. Sasuke looked around and noticed Jugo who walked towards them.
"Who's that?" Sasuke asked Jugo as he nodded his head towards the man's direction.
"Sasuke-sama, he was sent by your grandmother."
Sasuke immediately knitted his eyebrows. "How in the world did she know we were here?" He asked as he watched the man walked towards them and then bowed in front of them in respect before he straightened up.
"Sasuke-sama, Sakura-sama. Your grandmother has asked if you could stop by her residence and join her for lunch."
Sasuke's response was fast as he took Sakura's hand. "No thanks,"
