No More Pain

(Another 2 weeks later)

It was the day that Shadow needed to see the doctor. The appointment that would decide if Shadow was going to the psych ward for months.  Sonic and Rouge has put together all the check in results and notes they put in to give to the doctor. They were ready for the appointment, the only one that wasn't was Shadow.

Sonic was in the bathroom wearing a white dress shirt and tan pants with Shadow finishing up there final check in. Shadow was wearing a red shirt with dark blue jeans. Sonic was taking Shadow's last picture of his top half. He noticed Shadow's worries look. "Come on Shadow, be happy. It's our last check in and you'll finally be free from all this stress." Sonic spoke.

"I am happy Sonic. I'm just worried about what Dr. Murphy is going to say. One wrong move and I'm going to the psych ward." Shadow said as he put his shirt back on. He walked to the scale and stepped on it.

"And your final weight is 68.56 pounds! You're only 9 pounds under. That's not bad." Sonic cheered.

"That's great that you think that. But what about-"

"Shads, take a breath." Sonic interrupted.

Shadow closed his eyes and breathed in deeply.

"Good, now relax my love. You have gained back your weight, your cuts have healed nicely, I can't see your rib cage anymore, and you are the happiest that I have ever seen you. Everything is gonna be okay." Sonic preached.

Shadow took another deep breath and looked in the mirror. He did look like his old healthy self. A small smile appeared on his face.

Sonic smiled and went behind him. He wrapped his arms around Shadow's waist and kissed his neck. "I'm so proud of you Shadow. You've come so far. Now all you need to do is see a doctor. And that's it. You've got this."

Shadow leaned his head back and cuddled onto Sonic's head. "None of this would be happening if I would have jumped off that roof. So I'm only here because you saved me Sonic. I don't know how I'll ever be able to repay you for all of your kindness and love." Shadow spoke as tears of happiness came to his eyes.

"No need to repay me. Just having you in my life is enough." Sonic said as he kissed Shadow on his lips.

Shadow kissed him back and felt himself getting turned on. So he broke the kiss.

Sonic let go of him and cleared his throat. "I get it, you're still not ready. Sorry I was just in the moment again."

Shadow blushed and wrapped his arms around Sonic's neck. "Its not that..." Shadow leaned close to Sonic's ear. "...I do want you~Just not right now." He whispered.

Sonic blushed and put a hand to Shadow's cheek and the other around his waist. "You know I'm not the most patient hedgehog. But I'll wait just for you and only you."

The two shared another kiss before Sonic's phone started to ring. He groaned and answered it.

"Hello?....I know Rouge...Yes we just finished the last one.....Okay we'll meet you there...Alright...bye." Sonic hung up the phone.

"Time to go huh?" Shadow asked.

"Yup, you ready?"

Shadow nodded and took a hold of Sonic's hand.
