Sonic and Shadow finally made it to the hospital while holding hands. They saw Rouge in a pink dress.

"There you guys are, what took you guys so long?" Rouge asked.

"We were talking after the last check in. But we're here now." Sonic said.

Rouge looked at Shadow and smiled. "Today's the day. You feeling okay?"

"I'm a little nervous but I think I'll be okay." Shadow answered.

"That's the spirit Shadow." Sonic commented.

Shadow smiled at his lover and then back at his sister.

"I can't believe how far you've come. I'm so proud of you." Rouge said.

"Like I told Sonic earlier, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you and Sonic. So thank you for everything." Shadow spoke and let go of Sonic's hand.

Rouge gave him a hug and he hugged her back.

"Sorry to interrupt the moment, but we have an appointment and I have a very busy day." A voice spoke.

The three Mobians turned to see Dr. Murphy.

"Shall we get started?" He asked.

"Yes, we have all the results of the check ins we've been doing and the notes we've been keeping." Rouge said and mentioned to Sonic.

Sonic pulled out the binder and gave it to Dr. Murphy.

"Alright, now Shadow, come with me." Murphy requested.

Shadow began to shake a little due to his nerves and looked at Sonic and Rouge.

They smiled at him and motioned him to go.

Shadow started to follow Murphy while Sonic and Rouge started to follow them.

Murphy turned to them. "I only need Shadow for now. You two must wait out here in the waiting area."

"What! Why?" Sonic asked.

"Because this is an observation of his current mental status and he needs to be alone to do it. Having you both in the room will effect the results." Murphy explained.

"But we told him we would-"

"It's okay." Shadow stated, interrupting Rouge.

Sonic, Rouge, and Dr. Murphy gazed over at Shadow.

"If I need to do this alone then I will. You both always tell me not to worry. So now I'm telling you not to worry about me. I'll be okay and I'll see you both after I'm done." Shadow calmly stated.

Sonic and Rouge gave Shadow a look of pure proudness towards him.

"Then we'll see you when you're done. Good luck and don't stress." Sonic spoke.

"We'll be here waiting for you." Rouge said.

Shadow nodded and followed Dr. Murphy.

The two ended up in a clean hospital room. Dr. Murphy closed the door behind them.

"Take a seat on the bed, I'd like to start out with a body work up and then we'll go into your psychology." Murphy requested.

"Okay." Shadow sat on the bed as he watched Dr. Murphy grabbed a stethoscope.

Murphy listened to Shadow's heartbeat and then at his watch. "Your heartbeat seems a little fast. Are you nervous?"

"A little." Shadow spoke.
