Y/n's POV
After just one week, he was doing amazing. He was able to get out of bed and walk a little bit to a wheelchair. He was doing physical therapy and was doing very well. Once he was completely done with his physical therapy, he would be able to play Beetlejuice again! He was also doing vocal lessons so that when he started doing shows again, his voice would be used to it after it took a 2-month break unexpectedly.
Anyways, it was Christmas Eve, and the hospital discharged him earlier this morning. We took him over to my house, where he would be staying for a few days so that we could watch him. We still weren't living together.
Honestly, we haven't even discussed it yet, we were always busy focusing on the show and my children, and then he got a concussion and went into a coma. And now that he's out of his coma, he's been busy with physical therapy and voice lessons. Now it's Christmas, and then we have New Years, Luke's birthday, and then his birthday.
To be frank, I haven't really talked to him a lot in the past week, which is odd. We are always together, talking, laughing, joking, hanging out. Before he got hit by that car, we were always together, inseparable. The only time we were apart for more than 12 hours before we got together and before he went into his coma, was when I went to California to go to my family's funeral.
But this past week, the only time I see him is in the afternoon when I'm not at work or taking care of the kids. Come to think of it, all of my friends have been distancing themselves from me. Even Jessie, Luke, Violet, and Benny have been growing distant.
We took Alex to see the show last night, and when we were done, he came backstage to congratulate us on 'how good the show was' in his words, but he never came to talk to me, or even see me!
Anyway, I pushed all of that aside, and focused on preparing for tomorrow. Nobody had even asked me to go Christmas shopping with them to help them get gifts. So I went by myself, taking my whole off day to go shop for gifts for everyone else.
I had invited a lot of people to come over for Christmas on Christmas Day with their families, and most of them accepted. All the people we had coming over were Kerry and her family, Adam and his family, Rob and his family, Kate, Y/f/n, and Trevon, as well as the people staying at my house, Jessie, Luke, Benny, Violet, and Alex.
Since we're a couple, I offered that Alex lives in my room and sleep in my bed with me while he stayed at my house, but he refused, instead taking the guest bedroom. He had Kevin stay with Logan though, both of them staying in the corner of the living room. Logan and Kevin were starting to become like how Alex and I used to be, always sticking together and never leaving each other's side, along with play fighting, barking at each other, and cuddling and sleeping together.
Okay, let's get back on track.
So, it's Christmas Eve, and while I was reviewing the past week, I finished decorating and starting preparing some of the food for tomorrow. Once I finished making the food, it was dinner time and I brought out some food for us to have, setting up the dinner table. I called everyone for dinner, and they came, the six of us eating our food in silence.
Once we finished eating, we all went to the living room for some family bonding time, something that we haven't done in forever. We all sat down on the floor in a circle, and started to talk about whatever came to our minds first.
"This time off for Christmas break has been awesome. The snow is cool too, literally," Luke began, making everyone laugh.
"Yeah, hanging out with everyone at the theatre and around New York has been a lot of fun," Benny continued.
"Being able to finish some of my bigger projects and earn money from them to help others has been a huge stress reliever," Jessie said.
"And being able to be with such a loving and caring family is more than I could ever ask for," Violet smiled.
"We may not all be blood-related, and we might have our disagreements, but in the end, we're family, and we all come back to each other, no matter what," Alex finished, making all of us smile.
We then kept on talking and laughing, just hanging out with each other and enjoying being with our family. We may not be perfect, but we are all unique and special. As they say, home is where the heart is, and we are definitely where our hearts are.
The next day I was woken up by all of the kids, including Alex, jumping on my bed and huddled around me, getting me up at 7 am sharp. After a little bit of convincing, I finally got up and we went to the living room where the Christmas tree was.
We all got our presents from each other and from Santa, and we took turns, going from youngest to oldest, opening our presents and looking through our stockings. At 8, we finished opening presents and I went to the kitchen to start cooking breakfast, along with lunch and dinner, preparing food and baking sweets and treats. When I had a little break to do something else other than making food, I went and got ready for my day.
We ate breakfast at 9, and the guests started showing up at 11. When it was noon, I set out all the food with the help of Jessie and Violet, and we all had lunch. We all talked with each other, and the children played with each other in my kids' bedrooms, and we played a few games with each other.
After dinner, we all gathered in a big circle-ish shape in the living room and we opened presents just like my family and I did this morning, going from youngest to oldest. At around 10 pm, everyone started to go home, and by 11 everyone had left. After the last person left, we all said goodnight to each other and went to bed, exhausted but happy.
Author's Note
Yes, I know that this chapter was pretty uneventful, and the next chapter will probably be a lot like this one. I just wanted to make a few nice chapters full of sunshine and rainbows before we go back to people's lives being ruined. Sorry if you guys don't celebrate Christmas or any of the other holidays that are mentioned in the future chapters, you can change them or whatever you want to, I don't really care. I'm also sorry about how long this chapter took to be uploaded, I'll try to make it so that you guys don't have to wait so long to get a new chapter. The next one should be up in a few days, or a day or two, depending on how much free time I have. I'll start writing it now, and finish it later. Anyway, have a great day! Adios!
